Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. The room was clean, the beds were confortable. The kitchen had all that was needed to cook a nice meal. Service provided by hosts was excellent and the extra we paid for the breakfast was well worth it.

Free breakfast, free WiFi and free parking are all included at The River Lodge, offering spacious rooms with satellite TV. You can relax in the 6-person hot tub or in a hammock beside the river. My partner and I stayed at the River Lodge during our Christmas/ summer holiday and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The hosts are fantastic, great vibes all round! The included breakfast was delicious and we had all the amenities we needed. Well worth the price and experience away from a chain hotel. The setting is so green, relaxing and warm. We slept so well as it was so quiet. Highly recommend you stay here if you are planning to hike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing - Dani can organise a direct shuttle to/from the track for you.

Offering a garden and garden view, Tekoa Lodge Raurimu is located in Raurimu, 20 km from Mount Ruapehu and 21 km from Taranaki Falls. Lovely place. Lots of crockery in kitchen to use. Really clean and great location. We enjoyed the walk to the stream.

Foot of Turoa Chalet is located in Ohakune and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. Our stay was nothing short of amazing, truly exceeding all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. The accommodation itself was immaculate, offering all the comforts and amenities we could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. What truly took our experience to the next level, however, was the surprise addition of a Weber grill. This top-notch grill became the centerpiece of our evening gatherings, allowing us to cook up some incredibly delicious dinners. The quality of the grill ensured that every meal was cooked to perfection, adding a special touch to our stay that we hadn't anticipated. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness in providing such a high-quality grill for guests' use really stands out. It's not just about the accommodation itself, but also about creating memorable experiences, and in this case, they succeeded wonderfully. Overall, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you're looking for a comfortable and memorable stay with the added bonus of being able to enjoy fantastic grilled meals, this is the place for you. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Set in Ohakune in the Manawatu region, Kotiri Chalet is a modern chalet featuring a patio. This chalet also provides guests with free WiFi. Everything we needed. Comfortable spacious house. We stayed for 2 night over New Year, good location for the Tongariro Crossing and also the Carrot play ground. near to shops, places to eat but also had good utensils, dishes, cooking facilities to make a meal at home. Mountain can be seen from the front garden and you can sit outside at the back and watch the birds in the trees by the stream.

Featuring a 28-jet five seater hot spa and a terrace with mountain views, Ruapehu Log Lodge is a dog-friendly holiday home, situated in Raetihi, in the Ruapehu district. Incredible house! Loved the pool table, board games, hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, piano -- wish we could've stayed longer. Having the wood stove burning for us when we arrived was a nice touch.

Boasting river views, Beech Tree Lodge provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 24 km from Turoa. Unbeknown to the host our Whanau live directly across the road so to find this gem was perfect will definitely come back

Ruapehu Country Lodge is located within a 15-minute drive of Tongariro National Park, home of the world-renowned Tongariro Crossing. Free Wi-Fi access is available in this lodge. The breakfast is super nice! Various choices and all of them tastes so good. The hosts are very friendly and kind, makes us feel like a home. We arrived late and they are so caring, helped us with food and heater etc. The animals are so adorable, and the garden is pretty - suitable for a morning walk. Really appreciate Bernie & Marie's hosting! We had a nice stay and hope we can go back and meet you guys soon. :)
