I had an amazing stay here. Krishna is one of the best hosts I’ve ever come across. He is so kind, generous and knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help make your stay a good one. He is always there to help you out and gives the best recommendations. This place is so peaceful, homely, clean and affordable. It has everything you could possibly need in a hostel / guesthouse and I felt like I could unwind here. The home cooked food is also amazing. Highly recommend to everyone! I want to come back already :)

Located away from the hustle of the city and far away from the crowded tourist spots of Coonoor and Ooty, The Door to Nirvana hostel is the perfect magical stay... This was amazing stay at The Door to Nirvana. Very friendly atmosphere, staff is helpful, beautiful location with fabulous views. Rooms are wooden, cozy and spacious with balconies. Food was delicious, freshly prepared. Highly recommend this place, if you are nearby, you should definitely visit.

Located in Auroville, 10 km from Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Unearth Hostel (Pondicherry) provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Unearth hostel is just one in his kind. First of all, this hostel is great located! There are nice restaurants around, it has all the benefits of being in Auroville, but the ground isn't part of it. The building is absolutely beautiful and well designed. There are a lot of common spaces with beds to chill on, a huge roof terrace with activities going on like dance classes, yoga and drumcircels and a kitchen to use for cooking. There is drinking water aswell to take for free! I can't say a lot about the private rooms, but the dorm covered all my needs. (International) electricity plugs, night lamps, lockers, ven, optional airco... Everything well thought about! Than the best part: The Vibe! This hostel feels like your home away from home! With a good mixture of nationalities and types of travellers, this place functions as a big family. People take a lot of care of eachother (I can tell, as I broke my foot and ended up staying here for some weeks), and with Prerit as the head of this family, nothing can go wrong. He functions like a father, gives you advise, helps you out, organises things like scooters, and creates an open, friendly vibe everyone fits in. I will never forget the endless conversations at the bonfire, exchanging cultures, music, food and humor. If you search for cozy but spacious HOME, this is your spot. Just be carefull.... You might stay here longer than expected!

I had a great time in the hostel. Captain and the rest of travellers made the atmosphere of the place a great experience. The room was clean and fresh thanks to the AC. I can't imagine how this place is in high season.

Situated within 14 km of Sri Aurobindo Ashram and 14 km of Botanical Garden, goSTOPS Pondicherry, Auroville features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Auroville. Fabulous hostel. I stayed in 4 beds girls dorm and although it's a small room, it was really comfortable: the mattress, pillows, duvet, AC, curtains on the bed for privacy, big lockers, security, spotless bathroom with hot water. I had best sleep there. Also the location is great just by Visitors center of Auroville. The staff and manager are really attentive and helpful. I never expected such excellent hostel in India, so I give it 5 star. Over all, one of the best stays I had in this country, thank you very much!
