Chania Town is very authentic with beautiful cobbled streets and an old port. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops. Very old buildings to admire. Such a wonderful atmosphere around the port. Parking is a bit of problem as it can be very busy. Our favourite restaurant in the old port was Tholos Restaurant. The food was gorgeous and the ambiance was amazing. A ten minute walk from here is a small fishing harbour where we ate a number of times at Kous Kous. The food here was amazing and slightly different. I would recommend a visit.

A cozy town for one or two days of sightseeing.
A cozy town for one or two days of sightseeing. It can be a good base for exploring the eastern and south-eastern parts of Crete: Falasarna, Balos-Gramvousa, Elafonisi, Samaria Gorge (I highly recommend it! ), and Gavdos.

Getting around the town is easy as walking, always found a new side street to explore. The Harbor is beautiful at all times of day with tons of food options, just stay clear of restaurant servers telling you they are the best in town its a scam(some times). Old town area is full of venders(mostly the same stuff on each street)some have different prices and you can haggle a bit. People watching is really fun here, you always will find a character or too, lol. Around every corner of Old Town is another great picture from its Land Marks to just the ambience of the town at night. All in all its always a great time in Chania.

Chania is a little beach town with just enough activity to have a city like buzz without all the hustle and bustle.
It's a great place to anchor yourself if you want to go explore the beaches on the other side of the island, without having to stay in smaller towns/villages.
Chania has a great mix of local restuarants, with some international flare and something for everyone- food, drinks, entertainment.
The old town itself is huge and there are so many little alleys and spots to explore that we couldn't finish this time.
The harbour boasts alot of activity and you'd be surprised to find a good mix of locals and tourists.
A MUST DO if you're in Crete!
Classic European boutique hotel / studio. Fully updated large, comfortable room with balcony right on main street in heart of Chania Old Town, 2 blocks from Port, walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Host Maria was *exceptionally* helpful in answering questions by WhatsApp, helping with luggage (even at 5:30am), and providing snacks and drinks. Room has dishes, silverware, frig, microwave, and sink. Big modern bathroom, lots of storage, very comfy bed.
Don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a good 4 star hotel. v traveller friendly in terms of commodities and comfort. Great location if travelling by car, but also for access to old town.
We had a lovely, spotlessly clean room with face cloths ( a rarity in 4 & even 5 star hotels). Breakfast was delicious with fresh orange juice. Staff delightful. In all, one of those rare 4 star experiences. Currently in 5 star in Heraklion which is not a patch on Samaria.
The breakfast was very good and the location excellent. It was within a short walking distance to Chania old town and the bus stop. The staff was wonderful, especially Ioanna, Gemina and Antonio. They were so personable and helpful. Ioanna and Gemini made us feel at home and helped plan our days in Crete. They were exceptional. Antonio was a wonderful waiter. This was the best European hotel that I've stayed at. I highly recommend staying here.
The best experience in Crete. The room was very comfortable. The location is perfect, right in the middle of old town, very close to all the attractions and few minutes away from the free public parking. Nassos, the host, made the stay even better. From his warm welcome to his everyday greetings and always providing helpful tips on where to go in town. Even his home made bread was delicious. Don't hesitate to book this place. It's really worth it!
The location looks out at the old harbour and is in the middle of old town. It’s perfect in every way.
The rooms are gorgeous, the beds huge and comfortable and the views are fantastic.
Eva goes above and beyond every second to make your stay amazing. She must have called every rental car company I’m Crete for us. She also arranged a friend to be a private driver. Who was the nicest man ever and took us on the best journey around Crete.
We arrived at the Domus Reiner as first time visitors to Crete. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the Old Town of Chania. The view of the harbour and beyond is exceptional. A 5/10 minute walk takes you to a rocky area for swimming/snorkelling. It is actually the staff in the hotel and in the adjacent restaurant, Zepos, who make this place special. Nothing is too much trouble. We very much look forward to a return visit.
friendly & helpful staff, guy who handled valet was a superstar
great value for money, best hotel we stayed at in Crete
huge room & balcony
beds were extremely comfortable
interesting variety for breakfast
relaxing pool area, small but very cozy
extremely clean, room was spotless

lovely cocktail bar, lady working the bar stayed slightly overtime for us which we greatly appreciated
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Off! The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was the best we had at any of the hotels we stayed at in Greece. The location was very conveniently located in old town. I would definitely stay here again!
Outstanding! The staff was extremely helpful, even before our arrival. They arranged our transportation from the airport to the hotel and even assisted us with car rental. The hotel is so centrally located to everything in Old Town, there was nothing we missed. I recommend this hotel 100%. Thank you!!
The location was very near the Chania Venetian Harbour, and walking distance to the bus station, to many restaurants and shops. It was a beautifully renovated picturesque boutique hotel very centrally located on a quaint alley in the Old Town. The owner and staff were more than helpful and friendly.
The hotel is super well located right in the center of the old town.
The hotel and the room are beautifully designed and decorated.
The room is amazing with a view of the ocean.
Stelios is a great host and an amazing person, went more than the extra mile to help us out with our plans in Crete.
A unique and lovely place, beautifully designed, very clean and comfortable. In the old town, it's quite central but quiet and peaceful, which is unusual in chania in August!. The breakfast was amazing, I've never seen such a delicious spread in Crete. The people too are lovely and very helpful
This hotel was fantastic! The staff were incredible, making you feel like family, recommending restaurants and things to do, and helping with everything you need. The room was really comfortable and with a great view, and great location in Old Town. I was sad to leave!
Charming boutique hotel in old town. Wonderful staff. Super helpful with local info and help with parking in or near the old town.Really a gem of a place..The room was great. Breakfast in the garden is also a great start to the day
Cutest historic boutique hotel. Unreal location in Old town Chania. My husband and I extend our stay with them by two nights because we loved it so much. Very clean, amazing breakfast. Absolutely blissful.
The best part of the stay was our interaction with Christina. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. The hotel location was awesome, right in the middle of the old town.
Excellent location, a clean and comfortable hotel. But most of all the owner,Giorgios, is a very helpful and nice person. He really tried his best to make our stay in Chania and in Crete perfect.
Very friendly hosts, wonderful breakfast, the best we ever had, and perfect location in the old town. Room 24 is the best you can get.We will be back when we return to Crete.
