Room exceeded expectations. Open fireplace, large room Modern, rustic appeal. Beautiful big country style verandah. Wallabies, water hens and birdlife abound in the generous gardens surrounding the guest house. Nerina and Alastair warm and friendly hosts.

We have stayed a few times and love everything about this BnB. We prefer the upstairs rooms to the ground floor.

Perfectly located. A lovely breakfast is included. Spacious rooms. Easy checkin/checkout. We always stay here if visiting just the two of us. Highly recommend.

Wow what a beautiful secluded location surrounded by bush and vineyards . The room had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. Then the breakfast basket arrived each morning which was so generous and fresh. Then in the evening we sat in the verandah enjoying the peace and quiet the perfect spot to enjoy some wine and cheese whilst listening to nature. Then if that’s not enough to entice you to this property there is also a pool which was warm and so enjoyable in early March as it is heated. This property is also walking distance to restaurant and a winery and a short drive to everything else the area has to offer.

I actually can't say that there was anything I didn't like. It all met my expectations & my needs for the weekend with my friends.

The room was very clean, comfortable and inviting. Had everything we needed for our stay. Nerina & Alastair were very friendly & happy to have a chat. The beds were a little firm for me but that's a personal choice as I prefer a softer mattress. Amenities were sufficient. Breakfast was fantastic!! I knew we were getting breakfast but when Alastair showed up with a picnic basket with bread, croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc. it was very impressive & very yummy! Will definitely be staying here again!!

Nothing everything was perfect

Nerina and Alastair are the best hosts. Hospitable and accommodating. Rooms were clean. The verandah at the guest house is ideal just to kick back. Lovely stay no complaints from us. Oh and breakfast in a picnic basket enjoyable sitting on that verandah.

The mosquitoes on an evening were annoying, even with bug spray we could still hear them in our room on an evening. Also lots of dead bugs in the pool. Nothing that can really be done as it is to be expected by spending time in nature.

Kangaroos roaming freely between the vineyards was amazing to see! Nerina was very accommodating and provided us with food on an evening when we were not able to get food delivered after our day on the wine tour. The area and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning.

Our hosts Nerina and Alastair were absolutely fantastic. They brought our fabulous breakfast each morning in a picnic basket. The front porch was so beautiful, and the entire property was tranquil and relaxing. Highly recommend the Carriages to anyone visiting the Hunter. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to stay, breakfast provided were excellent. The location was really close to everything you need in Hunter region, and the accomadation amongst the vineyard and bushes was so quiet and cosy. Everything you could need was provided.

We loved our weekend at The Carriages. Peaceful location with great facilities, friendly hosts and a beautiful breakfast delivery each morning. We enjoyed using the pool, tennis court and relaxing on the deck. The kangaroos were a bonus!
