The breakfast was amazing! Great variety and beautifully prepared . The staff were delightful and very helpful. Lott at the reception was so informative with a lovely sense of humour.The traffic was horrendous but there are good walking tracks to Tanah Rata and Brinchang

No air conditioning in room and it can get stuffy because Cameron Highlands is not as cold as it used to be due to global warming and development. The interior fixtures are old and needs to be changed. Torn sofa, spoilt wall clothes hangers, dirty carpets, exposed wiring, mosquito nets were misaligned and cannot be closed properly. Property is showing its age and needs sprucing up to be a truly luxurious experience. I wish breakfast had more scrumptious buffet spread too. There was only coffee/tea, milk, coco pops corn flakes, oats and cut fruits.

The customer service was excellent. Much thanks to Singh who was so attentive especially to my special needs child. The garden was well maintained and beautiful to photograph. Food was delicious - I had complimentary breakfast and paid for dinner. Cod and chips and beef Wellington were amazing.

Minor.. The background music in the dining room needs to be rotated. :-) Hearing the same sound track of highland songs every time is a bit wearing.

If you are sick of staying in 'chain ' hotels this is for you. The place is a renovated Tudor olde worldy building full of wonderful character. The gardens are magnificent. Rooms are a good size and clean. Breakfast ranges from full old english to continental. If you dine in for other meals they are really well prepared and very English in nature, for example a wonderful Beef Wellington. Staff are exemplary. A great boutique hotel and well recommended.

Road noise but it was a super busy public holiday and nothing the hotel could do about it. Dinner? Mostly excellent but the Beef Wellington was I think pre-bought/frozen and undercooked.

Clean, kitsch, spacious. Staff, especially in the restaurant, were excellent. Huge suite rooms, super clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good for a small hotel. Dinner also and a lot of the food was clearly made in-house by an experienced chef, way better than I had expected

The fridge was a bit noisy and had to be turned off at night. Two separate pipes for hot water/cold water, a bit hard to control the temp (UK style, not really an issue). During checkout day, the person manning the counter is a bit cold. I smiled twice after breakfast and during checkout, but was not reciprocated back. She was professional nonetheless, just dont feel the warmth.

The check in was smooth and excellent. The common room and the bar area are in a perfect conditions. Usually with such an old building/furniture, there would be 'oldie'-musky smell, but this building smells fresh. The Garden outside have variety of flowers, i bet it looks great on sunny day. I got the room upstairs (no number just the name) facing the secondary road, but there are no noise at night. Room was tastefully decorated. Plush bed and great amenities in the bathroom. Loves the orange marmalade and strawberry jam for breakfast. Service was great for both breakfast and dinner.

The low door frame as one of us was quite tall. The bathtub was not elderly friendly as it was tricky trying to step in n out and the shower curtain couldn't keep the bathroom dry

However, the room was beside the main road and we could hear the buzz of vehicles late into the night and very early in the morning. Also, the reception staff could have easily done better by being friendlier. I made it a point to say hello and good morning every time i saw the two ladies. Unfortunately, they always looked like they did not enjoy doing their job. :(

I liked the old english style decor and feel of the place. It was also located in a nice location that was near the townships. We booked a suite, which was large enough for our family of four.
