Demeures de Campagne Château de Fontainebleau offers all-inclusive accommodation 1.1 km from Fontainebleau's famous château where guests can enjoy a wide range of activities such as swimming, cooking...
Le personnel, la nourriture, le lit, les activités... TOUT !
Lovely little town full of friendly people. The Chateau Fontainebleau was spectacular! My husband and I have toured Versailles twice, but always found it extremely crowded and so difficult to take things in, while being jostled by other guests. Fontainebleau was nothing like that at all. It IS a magnificent chateau, not to be missed in terms of size, architecture and beauty. What is missing is the crowds. Most of the time, we were alone in the rooms (save a few security guards). It made it so much more pleasant to be able to actually take our time and really look at things rather than being constantly jostled along by the crowds of tourists. If you are anywhere nearby, definitely take the time to see it.

Fontainebleau is easily the rival of Versailles, and the bonus is there are far less people squeezing around. The gardens are perfect for a stroll around the water features, people picnicking on the grass and exploring hidden gems within them. The Palace was amazing, without the gold bling of some but with vastly richer history and ornate features easily a match for anything.
The town clearly has a multitude of dining options, we got Italian from Pizza Mimi which was wonderful, and we found a quaint little church and some unique little shops in the short time after the Palace closed.
Skip the day-trip do yourself a favour and stay longer to properly explore everything this beautiful part of France just out of Paris has to offer.

We had a family break celebrating my 60th birthday on Easter Sunday and we met up with family who live nearby. There is plenary to do for the Easter break in the hotel. They provide everything you need and more. Lovely feel staff friendly. We didn’t eat food as we did our own celebrations but it looked lovely and well laid out. I would happily stay here again.

We took the tourist train thru the gardens to get our orientation, then did our own walk. Even in October it was a great walk.
Did a self guided tour of the chateau with an audio guide - much better with the guide than it would have been without. Some amazing history explained!
The shops, restaurants & the walk ability were all great.

My visit to Fontainebleau was to watch the Ladies Real Tennis World Championships in the Chateau. Great event , hotel was close by . The staff in the restaurants visited were all great , despite a busy Easter week with great weather and lots of tourists . Dined at both lower price and higher price restaurants .
The location of the apartment is perfect, it is right in the center of town. Everything is accessible - there is a Monoprix just around the corner. The room is clean and spacious. Everything is as advertised. The host was helpful and always accessible on WhatsApp. They resolved my queries about the wi-fi and collected some packages on my behalf promptly. A very comfortable stay - I spent 2 weeks in the apartment and will stay there again when I visit next.
Overlook the Palace of Fontainebleau from your window, dine in the in-house restaurant, park your car and charge it (hybrid) without hassle. Easy access location in the perfect part of the town. Incredibly helpful staff and a very ample breakfast to set you off in the morning again. Simply beautiful hotel.
The location of the apartment was great, easy walk to both the Chateau de Fontainebleau and the town centre. The facilities were as described. Perfect base for a solo weekend or as a couple to explore the area. Shower had impressive temperature and nice pressure. Excellent communication from host.

Amazing location, next to the Chateau. Old fashioned, charming, independent hotel. Our room had a wonderful view over the Chateau. Breakfast was really excellent. A combination of a traditional French breakfast with other great buffet items.
