FAQs about hotels in Kuala Lumpur

The Happening Hub of South East Asia

Climb to astonishing heights amidst the skyscrapers of Kuala Lumpur. Look up at the Petronas Towers and, if you’re feeling fit, participate in one of the foot races to the top of the Kuala Lumpur Tower. When you descend the mixture of cultures that make up this vibrant city will greet you.

The capital of Malaysia offers a colourful array of cultures, cuisines and shopping opportunities. Kuala Lumpur’s diversity is on centre stage in China town’s Petaling Street, the food stalls on Jalan Alor, the history of Merdeka Square and the temples and mosques scattered throughout the city.

As the temperature soars in the year-round heat, find refuge in the manicured greenery of the Lake Gardens. Air-conditioning offers more comfort in the famous shopping malls including the Suria KLCC, where anyone can find the perfect gift or momento.

If you’re travelling in South East Asia, there’s a good chance you’ll fly into Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Within 30 minutes you can be in the heart of a city which offers every type of accommodation from spas to budget rooms, 5-star hotels to dormitories. No matter what your budget, with 250+ hotels Booking.com has a place for you in KL.

Overall a nice city to visit. Easy public transport options. Locals are generally friendly and English speaking. Central Market and lunch at Envi Skyview Restaurant, level 36 Menara TA One are highly recommended. Negatives: Many beggars and prowling Arabs making it uncomfortable.

It's a wonderful city with more than hundreds of nationality gather everyday. The traffic is busy most of the time among Bukit bintang area but all international brands shops can be found in shopping malls. It's good to see that people are friendly and humble here.

KL is a beautiful city rich in history with a beautiful mix of people across Asia. There are many things to see in KL and I wish I had stayed longer to see more! The food is amazing, and you’ll have no trouble finding somewhere to eat in KL, and many people will try to help you if you need directions. Malay is definitely not a language I know, so I was grateful many people understood English. Do be aware that the city can get very warm and humid, so make sure you’re hydrated. Using Grab is the best way around the city and felt very safe using it. You might have random thunder and rain but they are short lived ( it is after all a tropical country). There are many food markets to go to as well.

There's a lot more to KL than a glitzy skyline.

There's a lot more to KL than a glitzy skyline. Food and city travel offer high quality and great value (download the Grab taxi app). A good city to walk in. A walking tour with David Tan of Guru Tours gave us glimpses into KL's past and present, as well as hints of the future. It is a suprisingly green city - citizens and authorities seem to love their trees. Shiny contemporary skyscrapers live comfortably alongside old structures that seem to be in no danger of disappearing - the casual visitor could be wrong. Some of the new buildings are beautiful, with clever incorporation of Islamic motifs, though the broad strategy of the town planners is a bit mystifying. A lack of stress in the way people negotiate their city belies its primary commercial focus. Our best experience in KL was the Museum of Islamic Art which was exhibiting contemporary explorations of Arabic calligraphy. An exhibition worth visiting KL for - check out how liberating calligraphy from conventional rules unleashed a storm of immersive art.

Kuala Lumpur is nice city and very well connected with Metro and Mono and bus service. We could not able to use bus service as it required (compulsory touch-n-go card which we don't wanted to buy as its bloking your some money and for each traveller we need to buy it). We find challen for vegitarian people as there is hardly any option for vegitarian to eat in kuala lumpur but for other its heaven. We did most of our booking on klook and booking.com which were very smooth and hassle free. you can use your internation debit or credit card for transaction at most of places (again if you refill your touch n go card then that will also very handy)

Very, very impressive luxury building in central location right next to the brand new LaLaPort mall which features plenty of cool restaurants & shops. The infinity rooftop pool with superb view on the Petronas Towers is simply stunning, and so is the architecture & design of the flat & building which can compete with 5 star hotels. Most highly recommended spot and kind host who was also kind enough with my late arrival caused by an unanticipated 2-hour long queuing at passport control at the airport !

Perfect “oasis” in the midst of Chinatown. The room was very quiet at all times. Loved the outdoor bathroom and shower area. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Tea, kettle, hairdryer, water, shampoo, soap provided. So many cafes and restaurants in area, including cafe in hotel. An easy few block walk from Pasar Seni station from which you can connect to anywhere. KLIA airport to Sentral to P. Seni - out and around corner to hotel. Definitely would recommend Tian Jing.

    - Convenient location, 5min walk to the back of Fahrenheit (go out of the hotel, turn right and right again). There's an underpass to Pavilion from Fahrenheit. - Helpful concierge team who assisted us with our massage appointment and advised us on the best route to airport. - Great facilities, saw many Singaporeans were wondering around the hotel to check out the facilities. - Away from the busy road of Bukit Bintang, hence there is a shortcut to the expressway to KLIA.

I love the upgrade to a corner room provided via booking.com genius membership. The extra space was great especially when traveling with children. The value for money is amazing, and the hotel is in a great location - not the hectic Bukit Bintang, but it feels more local, with so many local foods nearby to choose from, several of those are actually so popular. All staff we met were very friendly and hospitable. Cleanliness and health protocol are nothing to worry.

Staff is friendly and helpful, especially the people at the front door (not the front desk), they can provide valuable insight on where to go. The hotel is new, architecture is well done and I am saying this as an architect myself, the interior design exudes 5 star luxury infused with far eastern style which is relevant to the hotel. We tried the SPA and it was good, the staff were pleasant and the facility was well done.

Probably one of my favourite hotels in the world. The room was great – large and supremely comfortable. The view over the park was amazing. The staff are super friendly, and the whole hotel has an air of professionalism and excellence. We ate at Chynna twice and loved it. The location is so handy – so close to the airport train and also the Nu Sentral Mall. We'll stay again – and soon.

Spacious hotel for the price! Views from the roofdeck are stunning. It's the best place to get a view of Kuala Lumpur without breaking a sweat. The nearby restaurant had the best waitstaff and a thoughtful breakfast buffet for 90 MYR. Tofayel was the best! He went over and beyond assisting me, even booking a Grab for me to go to the airport after my stay. He was very prompt.
