The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and the bungalow was incredibly nice. It felt safe there, because all people coming in would pass the staff. It's directly next to the beach (although when it's flood you have to go about 15 minutes to the next part of the beach to lie down as the water here is too high then). Also a beautiful garden. We had a great stay!
Mnana Beach Bungalows has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Michamvi.

International breakfast was the norm wich was tasty and can make europeans feel at home but local breakfast could be arranged too if requested wich I loved so much and was SO filling. Dinner is priced reasonable, a little higher than surrounding places but portions are HUGE and quality and taste is 20/10. All dishes are very fresh and the chef is a sweet soul. The owners are very transparant and well organised. They have trustworthy connections to arrange all activities you can think of and are very happy to help any time. The place offers a sense of privacy wich I loved. I can imagine it also being a very good place to celebrate with a group of friends as they offer the facilities (swimmingpool, bar, line wall, high quality music installation, game are). I really felt looked after and will definitely visit them again. Cleanliness and hygiene is 20/10, the place always looks and feels polished. Rooms are well equiped, for hot nights, beautifully designed and mosquito protection can be bought from them (wich works well and is way cheaper compared to buying it at home if you travel from Europe). Excellent location and such sweet and caring staff. Couldnt have felt more safe here. Wifi is free and very high speed.

If you're looking to unwind, Oleza is the ideal destination. Situated in Michamvi on the serene Southeast coast of Zanzibar, it offers a tranquil atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle, perfect for relaxation.
Close to Pingwe and Paje, you'll find plenty to do while staying there. As for Oleza itself, having traveled extensively worldwide, I can confidently say that it boasts the most hospitable, accommodating, and delightful team I've encountered. Their proactive assistance exceeded my expectations, often extending help without even being prompted. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience.
Mr. Humphrey, the charming manager, is ever eager to teacher a few Swahili phrases, while the Chef ensures your dining experience is delightful. Despite my wife's gluten intolerance, he made special efforts to prepare delicious gluten-free dishes.
At Oleza, their motto rings true: 'Arrive as a guest, depart as family.' And indeed, that's precisely how we experienced it.
Asante sana!

Sansi Kae is an amazing resort. We loved our time there. Right On the beach. Great Pools. Great Staff and overall a great stay. The massages were amazing. The night activities were a lot of fun and created a great vibe. The way the staff treat you is like royalty. We made friends with lots of the staff and had some good laughs and learnt a lot of the language from them. They always went our their way to make sure we had everything we wanted and more!
The external company that handled the booking of activities were great too. We swam with dolphins and went to feed sea turtles in a cave. AMAZING experience. We also did the tour of prison island and stone town which were also great experiences.
The resort is a bit of a drive from the airport but the taxis got us there no problem. On the East side of the island where its not as commercial so it wasnt too busy. We heard that the North side is madness. Especially when doing tours like the Dolphin swim. We had 4 boats around us vs what i heard some people say its mayhem with over 20 boats as an example.
For a chilled getaway to relax and spend time at the beach or pools was amazing. I would recommend Sansi Kae to all.
Featuring two sandy beaches, Ras Michamvi Beach resort also offers a swimming pool and a cliff-top restaurant with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and coral reef.

Michamvi is good for relaxing and enjoying . There are few vendors and they are not disturbing you and friendly. We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable. by walking distance you could reach Kae Funk, which is lovely place, with party, and amazing sunset view. Is right place for whom are interested for The Rock, by taxi it takes aprox. 25 min, the same to Paje beach. Michamwi is calm and full of nature. Unfortunately the ocean is full of seeweeds and is not pleasant to swim here.

It has some really nice beaches in the area and wonderful blue ocean as far as the eye can see. It's also quiet and very tranquil. We enjoyed a nice long walk on the beach with little to no interruptions from beach boys of sellers.
Firstly the people: All the staff were incredibly friendly, the owners very friendly and welcoming. Then the bed was super comfortable, room cleaned twice a day, and the food is the best we had in Zanzibar. Please try the coconut curry or the seafood pasta if you have a chance.
We had some of the best holidays of our life and anytime we needed something we were blessed with a smile. Also the location is great and you will find many things to do nearby. Even with some rainy days we had a perfect time.
In this Hotel everything was perfect! We had our own terrace with view to the sea, breakfast in the room, kitchen for preparing our own food, everyday cleaning. Also food and drinks are available in the restaurant.
We felt like part of the family, so we celebrated the christmas eve together with the owners, their friends and the staff.
The owner took us one night to the sunset beach, where we were dancing and partying with them.
We would definetly coming back!
I loved everything from the location to the staff to the great interior deco. in the rooms to the very humble owners to the love of everyone working there. Ensuring that we were ok. I loved the homely welcome. I almost teared on check out. The comfort I felt at this place was amazing. It isn't crowded, perfect place to relax. The food is amazing and the chef is 👌
I shall surely book this if I return to Zanzibar. Indeed its the view of Zanzibar.
The gym was funky but fun and the staff was all-around outstanding. My wife and I became friends with most of them, truly unique and overall great folks to interact with. Zakaya (I hope I’m writing this correct) from the Masai folks guarding the hotel at night was a joyful guy who was fun to talk to.
Pool has a great view and the Beach is great as soon as the tide comes right back up. Sheesha/Hookah lounge upstairs was an extra plus :)
The place is very nice, full of nature, trees and fresh air. At night there was a little bonfire and quiet in the shared space. The food was good, but they charged us way more than the real price. The location was ok, 10 minutes walk to the closest beach. However if you come back at night after sunset, is VERY dark, no lights on the little streets.
The waiter was very nice and helpful.
We saw the red colobus walking around the trees.
The property is gorgeous, extremely aesthetically pleasing. It is also in a great location. I wish we had spent the whole of our trip staying in Baladin. The atmosphere is great, I will definitely be back.
The Baladin beer is a must try. It’s so delicious. The food in the restaurant was also very yummy.
The hotel staff made sure we were looked after properly ask were very attentive.
nice & caring staff, amazing breakfasts and clean pool with sunbeds. Everyone in here is so helpful. There is an beautiful beach nearby. Ot is calmy place to stay with not many tourists around, there are just few restaurants, but also night life on the beach, so its good balanced. If we would ever come to Zanzibar again, we will definitelly come back.❤️
Fantastic place (the best stay we have had in Africa) Local village with few tourists. But still many small cozy cheap restaurants with very good quality of everything. The beach and the sunset are magical. Rent a scooter and discover the whole of Zanzibar. Ramona is the best hostess for your stay.
Our stay was about 10 days!
The room was nice and big. The staff was great and did everything to make us feel good. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good, there was a choice of eggs cooked in different ways, french toast, cereals, fruits, very good mango juice and coffee. Hotel has a big pool and it's 2 min away from the beach.
Lovely experience, especially if you're a couple. Structure puts you immediately on holiday mode. Staff is friendly and very welcoming, services and rooms are impeccable. Plenty of choices for excursions with reasonable prices. Will definitely go back if we decide to get another trip in Zanzibar
Shanuo was our first hotel in Zanzibar and it was amazing! Gillian and her team are awesome and you really feel like you are part of the family! My favourite part was the fact they serve breakfast on your room terrace! Absolutely recommend for this property for a chilled and comfortable stay!
Second time at Horizon Michamvi and everything was good again.
