The Highfield is in Keswick, in a quiet location among other hotels and homes. Keswick town centre is just a few minutes' walk away, where guests can find the popular Theatre by the Lake. Wonderful settings, located right in front of the lake promenade start, with a beautiful view towards the mountains and even the lake. Also very close to Keswick city center. The room was very comfortable, the lounge area was as well. Very good breakfast. I definitely recommend the Highfield.

With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. There is free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and scenic views towards Wansfell. We liked everything, but mostly the staff service. Each of the staff members seemed to make our stay comfortable and happy by anticipating our needs and solving any little problem we had. The morning breakfast was excellent. The Hotel is situated in a quiet but lovely center, and the entrance is easy (we had some thought when booking because the picture on the website showed many steps leading to the entrance, but when we arrived, we realized that the entrance is on the side and very convenient). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to spend in the spa but we checked it and it seems excellent.

Windermere Hillthwaite Hotel has an elevated position and a terrace with stunning views towards Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond. Some rooms also have views towards the lake and mountains. There is also a guest lounge with a log fire and lake views. This hotel is beautiful and nicely positioned overlooking Windermere. The lounge, terrasse and dining room are all well appointed and elegant. The meals are good and the breakfast was particularly delicious. The staff are all friendly and helpful, taking time to assist with whatever you need to know. Our bedroom, although slightly smaller than I expected, was comfortable, clean and had a lovely view.
