The location is great, not far from Lake Superior and a short drive to the local shopping locations.
Located 1 km from the Thunder Bay International Airport the hotel offers a 24-hour shuttle service to the airport. Rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and refrigerator.
We had a nice visit! Although the parking is a little weird at the hotel, but we were fine. Also since our visit was during Summer, the AC was not enough for the whole place. However, we were gone most of the day, so we survived! We will definitely come back at Sleeping giant BNB for accommodation. Kalabeka Falls and Fort William Historical Park are a few of our favorites! Also the Thunder Bay Lookout at Sleeping Giant Natl Park. :) Mount McKay is also a nice place yo visit! :)

Thunder Bay is close to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park—about an hour’s drive—which is a phenomenal place for hiking at all levels. It’s an easy trip back and forth, and the primary reason I visited Thunder Bay (there are no hotels near the park). I didn’t explore the city-proper very much. It’s easy to drive around. Also seems to have a robust bus system that no one uses! There’s a downtown area with many restaurants and bars, but it wasn’t very busy, even on a weekend night. Best place I ate was a Thai restaurant, Thai Kitchen (11 Cumberland Street), which was excellent.

There aren’t enough hotels and the ones they have that are good book up quickly. The ones left aren’t worth staying in, but it’s too late to get to another town once you realize it. Plan ahead and book early is my advice.

My reason for staying there was STRICTLY medical, not pleasure. I travelled over two thousand miles to get the medical help I needed, because of the FAILURE of the CORPORATE medical mafia (YES, the medical system is the upgraded mafia system) establishment wants to TREAT people but NEVER CURE people as there is no money in "curing" people. They are the LEGAL DRUG DEALERS WITH LICENSE, WITH HORRIFIC SIDE EFFECTS OF THEIR DRUGS. I KNOW, I AM ONE OF THE VICTIMS OF THEIR GREED. For the medical reason, hot tub was a crucial part of my trip and you ALSO failed to tell me that the hot tub was there for the show not for the go. For the proper health benefit, hot tub AND swimming pool go hand in hand! THIS IS FUNDAMENTAL HEALTH CARE!

We went for a family wedding, but should have went earlier to see the sights. We stayed at the Harbour Front and it was gorgeous. Beautiful weather, Lake Superior ! But like every where else, short staffed. Stayed at Delta Marriot, brand new hotel, but restaurant closed for breakfast as no staff. No bar. No snack counter. Starbucks closed at 11am on Saturday and Sunday !!!!! the young people working there were very helpful.

The review of the travel lodge.....
The review of the travel lodge.....The breakfast which was included did not even have a place to sit. The pancake maker was out of order also the personnel was dirty on their clothing this is anadd on to what my wife wrote. I would never recommend that travel lodge to anyone. Gilles Morais
The front desk gal was awesome, made us feel right at home! Super friendly and welcoming to our furry friend as well.
The room was spotless and the sheets smelt nice and clean! The bed was super comfy and soft. Love the offering of shampoo, conditioning and body wash in the washroom.
The lobby area and shared accommodations were great as well! Everything was so clean and organized.
We had a private queen room with private washroom and it was honestly better than some hotels we have stayed at. So cozy and had everything we needed.
I had one of the units with a twin bed and it was a perfect, affordable little set up for my short trip! I was out and about most of the time I was in Thunder Bay, so I didn't spend a lot of time in my unit besides sleeping and showering, and it was just what I needed for my stay! The mattress and bedding were both so comfy! Made it super easy to fall asleep! Definitely going to recommend Sleeping Giant BNB to anyone I know who is traveling up to Thunder Bay!
I initially eliminated this hotel as an option when I was searching for a reasonably priced place to stay in Thunder Bay. I'm glad I went back to it and looked a little closer. It is a uniquely and beautifully and artistically decorated hotel! It was exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. There is a good selection of restaurants within a couple blocks of walking. And the staff were really helpful and friendly.
Dog friendly! We stayed here 2 nights in a span of 2 weeks. We didn’t stay long at the hotel (arrived late and left very early). We drove from Toronto and this was a nice rest stop after a 15hr drive. Felt very safe, properly is clean and newly renovated. There are cheaper hotels but this place is worth it!
Good location close to waterfront. Old court house converted to hotel. Retained all floors and wood trim of court house. Room is nicely decorated. High ceilings and several windows. Our room faced harbour but was partially blocked by a tree. Everything was great and would definitely stay again.
Beautiful hotel - incredibly well fit out. The bed was luxurious. Big thick towel, heated bathroom floor. Pet friendly (though only on the ground floor). There is dedicated hotel parking lot that was well lit and felt secure. Also loved the massive lawn and with a dog, that was great!
Good for a short stay. Pet friendly, comfortable and clean. Location is not bad, but not super safe. I found a man at the door of my bedroom (from the outside part) looking for drugs, maybe. At the same time, there is a nice dog park just crossing the street! Ah! Continental breakfast.
Staff were very friendly. Great security for the parking lot. Room was perfectly clean and comfortable. Towels and linens were better than most hotels. Room had a fridge, microwave and TV. Decor and furniture was as simple as can be but for the price, who can complain?
The hotel is new and clean and working hard to make this a nice place for its guests. The staff were friendly and accommodating and were on top of any requests I made. The room I had was bright, spacious and comfortable with a nice view of Lake Superior.
We had a suite with two queen beds and a pullout sofa. It was spacious, clean, and met all our needs. Check-in was easy and the front-end staff was friendly and professional. I would stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Thunder Bay.
The front desk staff and restaurant staff were incredibly kind, room was spacious and had its own patio entrance which was perfect for our little pups, and it was on the outskirts of Thunder Bay so we didn't have to drive into the city :)
A very lovely hostel in Thunderbay! I found it very pratice that there was a fridge to store our items.
There is a possibility to do laundry for CAD 8$.
A very special stay in Thunder Bay.
The room was clean.
The jacuzzi was good.
We had a green view from our room.
The hotel is near a Tim Hortons and a Montana’ s restaurant and bar, which was very nice!
Thunder Bay has poor hotel availability in general. This hotel is as good as it gets in the price range. Room was clean and bed was reasonably comfortable
