The location is perfect. Very nice and helpful staff, friendly and ready to give us indications for food, visits around, parking... everything. Very clean, too. Breakfast at the top terrace was amazing for the view and the delicious cheese n onion omelette they made for me. A place to come back.

We stayed in Getaria as a base to enjoy all of the surrounding areas. It was well situated between towns. We saw a soccer game in Bilbao one night and drove to France the next day. We enjoyed walking around Getaria in the mornings and the kids played on playgrounds around the town. It seems very peaceful! Great vistas of the ocean.

Getaria is a small port with 2 streets of restaurants and bars, but it is a charming place to visit the Flysch(Itsrun) and not far from San Sebastian. The txakoli vineyards in the area are charming and the seafood is also good.

In Getaria you have a wide range of restaurants to choose from, and lively tapas bars , a very good outdoor bar overlooking the harbor .
Safe beaches to swim , very clean.
Lovely walks to Zumaia on the St James Way , and to Zarautz
It’s also well worth going to the top of San Anton , for the lovely views
Our apartment was perfect to enjoy all these things .

An "ok" place to use as a base for day-trips in the Bilbao/San Sebastian area. However, Getaria is a very small village. Other than a beach and restaurants, there's not much to do. Having said that, it is an excellent location as a base to visit the many, many other areas/sites in this Northern Spain area. However, if I was looking for a "home base" I would probably stay in the next town over, Zazautz.

Very expensive. Trying to compete with San Sebastian.
Very expensive. Trying to compete with San Sebastian. Beaches are great. Place is not dog freindly. Usual problem - when restaurant says open from 11am to 11pm, beware the kitchen will not be open for those times.
The Hotel San Prudentzio is a wonderful place, unfortunately we only spent one night there, because everything is incredible, starting with the very warm welcome, the beautiful ambience, the wonderful view, the great offer in the self-service area and, last but not least, the fantastic breakfast. The surroundings with the mountains, the Atlantic and the beautiful town of Getaria invite you to enjoy. In Getaria we also got great recommendations for dinner and it was incredibly tasty! Many thanks to the whole hotel team for this wonderful stay.
Great location in the centre of Getaria. warm welcome and big room (huge bed) with small but adequate ensuite shower room. All in all a great find. Although breakfast is not included, for a small price they offer breakfast in a café nearby.
Perfect for visiting Getaria, its beach, restaurants, and the Balenciaga Museum all steps away from the pension.
Room was spacious, views from our room were AMAZING, and the staff was so kind and helpful. They even accommodated laundry for us (although they don’t typically do so). Breakfast was delicious. Plus a shared balcony space to watch the sunset. Overall our stay at Saiaz Getaria exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend!!
Very clean, quiet, small establishment, comfortable room, nice bath. Views wonderful of vineyard. Wine, Gaintza, very good and nice tour as winery attached. The Camino de Santiago next to hotel and can walk any direction to other towns.
Staff very accommodating and can make some tours.
It was exceptional! beautifully appointed and a luxurious apartment. So comfortable and quiet. Excellent location and wonderful host. The best place we’ve stayed in all our travels. Will return here should we visit beautiful Getaria again. excellent value for money. The Best!!!!
Fantastic location, right outside the old village (wonderful fish restaurants ) and less then 5 min from the beach.
Getaria is a very cosy place with a nice beach.I highly recommend it. There are frequent buses to San Sebastian.
Exceptionally clean. Very cute apartment. Maintained some heritage but very modern facilities. In a great place for discovering the different beaches and surf spots. Towns either side are great but Getaria has a real charm.
This family run hotel is a lovely place to stay. You can be sure of a very warm welcome with much time given to explain what the area and indeed the hotel has to offer. If you're a wine buff you'll love this place.
The appartment was situated in a perfect spot. A few minutes walk to the lovely town of getaria with their typically bbq fish. The appartment was very clean and all facilities where there.
The host Joaqim went out of his way to make our sta very pleasant. Thoroughly recommend a stay at Aristondo Pentsioa. Will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Getaria
Hotel very central and manager did a great deal to find me a quiet room away from traffic noise which I appreciated. Right on the Camino. Beautiful views from rooftop
Warm welcome of Andrès and his son. Incredible postcard view from the garden. It worth 11/10 . Close and convenient to visit Balenciaga museum and Getaria city centre.
Breakfast was great, the host was exceptional, and the building and rooms are modern, clean and perfectly located next to the church in the centre of Getaria.
