Character, style of the accommodation. Felt like we’re in the old castle, because we almost were, it’s a beautiful historic building in a walled village of Laguardia. At the same time, the room is well equipped and modern, comfortable to stay.

The location was great. Actually in the outer wall of the ancient city. Easy walk to explore the city. Our host, Terri, was a superstar. She made dinner and wine tasting reservations for us. Even helped us celebrate my wife’s big birthday.

Laguardia is a stunning place to visit, the views of the surrounding countryside from the town are breath taking. Walking around the walled town's narrow streets is magical, especially in the evening. There are many Bodegas where you can take a wine tasting tour of the underground cellars where they are still used as a winery. A visit to the Church of Santa Maria is a must, book your tickets in the tourist office in the centre of Laguardia. There are many restaurant/coffee shops and shops but be aware that on Sunday and Monday's many places are either shut or only open for a few short hours. The Irish Tavern is great for Pintxos a place many locals frequent also Bar Los Sietes. I highly recommend Restaurante Biazteri 1974 for Pintxos or dinner but make sure your reserve a table if you want the "Menu Del Dia"

What a spectacular place - so unexpected, one of the most beautiful towns I have ever been to. Authentic medieval walled hill town with tiny narrow streets of honey coloured stone protected by huge walls and gates. It’s set in the middle of the stunning Rioja wine making valley, with vineyards in all directions protected by stunning hills and distant mountains, The spectacular views on every side of the town remind one of a medieval tapestry. In the evening the narrow streets are full of locals from kids to grannies in wheelchairs out living the good life in bars and cafes. Gorgeous

LaGuardia is a cute town with tons of history. There is easy parking so getting in and out of town is stress free. There are so many wineries within a short distance that you can do many. The one in town is so cool. With underground tunnels and so much history.

Laguardia is a small fortress village on top of the hill but there are lifts from the bottom road that take you to the village. The place is pretty quaint and crisp. It is worth spending a day there with a visit to one of the bodegas. The church is big and beautiful inside. Worth 2-50e for a visit, Even though the guide only speaks Spanish. Plenty of bars with pintxos.
It was exactly what we were looking for. A beautiful place in a beautiful town right inside the city walls. We arrived with a rental car and parking was nearby and easy. We felt like we were part of the community. From the time we made the reservation, Terri and Robert went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable. They recommended experiences and made any calls for reservations that were required. Our best memories from our trip came as a result of their recommendations. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this lovely place!
The hotel is in the charming small hilltop town of Laguardia. It feels like a "lived in " village, not just a tourist attraction. There are restaurants and shops around the hotel. There is no parking at the hotel as it is inside the old wall of the city. However, there is convenient parking close to the hotel. Since the town is on top of a hill, there are many view points that overlook the Rioja valley. The has a very nice breakfast which was helpful before a day of wine tasting. It is an easy drive to many wine bodegas nearby .
Beautiful castle hotel with wonderful views, a delicious breakfast & an extraordinary and welcoming host, Javier. When my husband dislocated his finger, Javier called the health clinic to come in on Sunday, walked us to the clinic & interpreted for us and when he needed an x-Ray that was not available in town, he contacted a private hospital in a nearby town to arrange for him to be treated. We were seen immediately and treated very well. Javier treated us like family and we highly recommend a stay at his hotel.
Wonderful boutique hotel right off the Plaza Mayor in LaGuardia. Beautiful town. The only difficulty was that no cars are permitted inside the walls of the city. So parking is difficult and can be quite a distance from the hotel. Carrying large or heavy suitcases is impossible. We had to repack from suitcases to backpacks in the parking lot in order to get necessary items to the hotel. Nowhere is this mentioned. Otherwise, the hotel is a lovely oasis in a city where you step back in time.
Casa Erletxe is a little jewel at Laguardia. It has an excelent location, inside the walls, but near everything. You can walk to all atractions , restaurants, etc in Laguardia. The managers, Laura and her husband were very nice to me, and I enjoyed a lot our conversations over excellent coffee. The room is very confortable, with everything you need ,clean and well decorated. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly well .I recommend to everyone and I hope to be back someday.
Perfect location in Laguardia, quiet but easy and quick walk to everything. Hosts went out of their way to be helpful. Room was large and clean and bed was super comfortable.
Views in Laguardia are breathtaking. And Laguardia has many good tapas bars and restaurants to choose from. Tour of Casa Primicia was worthwhile; we'd booked in advance.
Great location in the walled city of Laguardia. Free parking was available just outside the walls. We loved having our "welcome" drink in the cool wine cave under the hotel. The room was beautiful, and the staff was friendly. We had a very good dinner from the hotel restaurant at an outside table on the square. Lovely!
Hospitality and breakfast were amazing
We had a fabulous selection of fruits meats cheeses and pastries ! The host makes you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel is situated in the old town with the park just below perfect to walk the dog and he loved it too !
A wonderful stay !
This hotel is located in the centre of the pedestrian only, beautiful old town of Laguardia. The staff were welcoming and we had excellent service, with complementary wine from their winery and an exceptional meal in their restaurant. Would recommend not to miss this location.
Rosemarie was polite, helpful and always had a pleasant smile. She was eager to share the bodega’s history and its wines. Our room overlooked the courtyard where a few vats barrels were stored - very authentic. We could smell the wine as soon as we entered our hotel.
Amazing hotel, in a building that's 400 years old. Our bed was enormous and really comfortable. We loved to massive old beams and the patina of age on the floor tiles. The town is gorgeous to wander around and would be fabulous for wine lovers.
Really nice small hotel, literally everything is like 1-5 min walking distance as Laguardia is a tiny place by itself. Terri was very hospitable and pleasant to communicate with. Smooth check-in and check-out. Nothing to complain about.
The location was perfect for exploring the area. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. We had a lovely view out over the vineyards. We had an amazing dinner at the hotel one night. The breakfast buffet was good.
We stay at this hotel at least 4 times per year on our journey to and from Spain. They make us and our dog feel welcome.
The food and bar are very good and the staff very friendly.
