Hotel Soltroia - Foz Do Sado, hotel in Troia

Located on a stretch of land between the Atlantic Ocean and the Sado River, in Tróia Peninsula, this hotel is set in a protected natural reserve. It features an outdoor pool and private beach area.

The hotel is a new urbanization about fifteen minutes from the end of the peninsula and the people ferry. It faces across the bay with a bay beach in front but is not directly on the ocean beach. It is about a 25-minute walk to the beach Atlantic which has lifeguards and other facilities. There are no restaurants nearby. We had breakfast which was pretty simple in relation to the price of the room. We got an apartment that looked like no one had lived in or used it for years. Everything was tired and beginning to fall apart. We had trouble with the hot water faucet. It has no sea view because of the high terrace wall. It's nice to take a morning bay beach walk.

Tróia Resort Beach Villa, hotel in Troia

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, garden view and a balcony, Tróia Resort Beach Villa is located in Troia.

we're a family of 5 and we really had the most comfortable stay here!! The property is fully equipped with everything and all of the rooms are large with ensuite bathrooms. its exactly as portrayed on their page. you get a very beautiful view too of the garden and pool, super close to ferry port (10 mins walk) , little high street which had all the shops and small supermarket and the beach is 10-15 mins walk! so everything is pretty accessible. the owners were very accomodating, friendly and helpful if we had any questions or if we were unsure on things. such a beautiful home we highly recommend this! cant wait to go back in the future.

Soltroia Beach Court Villa, hotel in Troia

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, Soltroia Beach Court Villa is located in Troia. This beachfront property offers access to pool at the pool table and table tennis.

Recently I and a group of friends had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful house in Soltroia / Comporta. It afforded all of us great comfort and privacy due to its amazing arrangements. It's a very well appointed house, with great attention to details - from the ensuite bedrooms, the entertainment/common spaces, the BBQ area, etc. They have tried to think of everything! The well appointed kitchen was a delight to use and would allow anyone to prepare a wonderful gourmet meal if desired. The pool with its lounge seating and umbrella area plus the lovely warm water heated pool was one of the highlights of the house. The games room provided ample entertainment for both adults and children alike for a night in or just entertainment. The proximity to the beach a short 2-3 mins walk from the front gate was another highlight. You have miles of wonderful uninterrupted wide soft sandy beach with clear water at your doorstep. In addition you have a beach club which serves meals, drinks, snacks etc. The house was exceptionally clean, well-maintained. Easy to reach and responsive hosts.

It was low season and there was not much going on. It appears that apart from the beach and one golf club there is not so much to be done in Troia. There were a few restaurants but not that many. Supermarket in the village was extremely, expensive

Troia is a great place to enjoy almost year round beach and country relaxation. Eating can be excelent down the Peninsula, though prices are becoming too high, and second level places are not as good as they should be by Portuguese cuisine levels - get on the ferry and enjoy great fish in Setubal for a pair of meals. Avoid Troia Residence, by The Editorym Ácala Apartments. Lousy price/quality relation. A spacious and well conserved apartment with poor help form the desk (not ansereing phone; late or no action when requested). Absolutely noisy from 7pm to 1am. Tricky air conditioning. Awful 3rd bed requested and paid for an adullt. Kitchenware reduced to absolute minimum, no broom, and no equipment to dry towels and clothes, though there's a specific balcony.

We discovered this is a resort season and most of the area...

We discovered this is a resort season and most of the area and buildings are empty/closed in offseason, which apparently mid-October is. Our apartment, F31, was in very poor condition in terms of maintenance. For example the tv, Wi-Fi, security shutters, lock to balcony, shower water pressure were all non functioning. There is a longer list the the building (which was empty except for us) maintenance man now has. He expressed frustration that housekeeping had not made him aware. The apartment is cute, and had it functioned properly, would have been ok. As it was, we left, forfeiting the room fee. Reception told us they felt bad but that only Booking.com could issue a refund. We are now waiting 3 days for a response.

    Lovely and peaceful.

Lovely and peaceful. Great for sea activities, walking and cycling. Maybe a bit too quite for some but there is always Setubal just a short ferry crossing away. Great restaurants in Troia and also in Comporta.

    Troia has a fantastic beach.

Troia has a fantastic beach. Incredible facilities and a great natural environment where the whole resort is integrated. A bit too family oriented for my taste, depending on what hotel or apartment you stayed in. This place is very quiet and peaceful off season, but much more lively in the Summer months. Needs a nightclub desperately! I also love that Troia is so close to the great trendy village of Comporta and the fabulous beaches of Melides and beyond.

We loved the lime green car ferry trip as the start to exploring Troia. The harbour front was good for eating out, and Comporta for it's relaxed Ibiza vibe. The beaches were glorious but of course the Atlantic Ocean was freezing!

The accommodation was as described in the advertisement. It's a nice house in a great location. We were there in the off-season and the entire neighbourhood was empty, as well as the beach. There was no issue with the house. When we arrived, there was an issue with mould in the original house, but the host was incredibly helpful, booked us into a nice hotel immediately and offered us an equivalent house afterwards. They did a great job.

A good location just overlooking the beaches around Troia. It’s worth paying a little extra to get a nicer place, as twice for me these ended up being two bed apartments with balconies, sea views and separate living rooms and kitchens for a few euros more than a normal room! (Although advertised still as just one bed rooms!)

The place is magnificent. The from the room is breathtaking, The room size is very good, the balcony is great, the breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety, the beach and the ocean are very nice and the restaurants outside the hotel on the marina had all what we needed for various dining choices.

The apartment was completely new, and the architecture of the eco resort beautiful. I took long walks along the beach and the dunes and forests around with our dog while my husband played golf next door. At night we fell asleep listening to the waves... We are coming back in October again!

The resort is just stunning. We stayed in the eco-vilas with a rooftop pool and it was extremely enjoyable. The apartment was beautifully designed, very functional. Every room had its ensuite bathroom. Walking around the resort was easy and well signed. Really enjoyed our stay!
