Offering charming rooms and bungalows with thatched roofs, Cariblue Beach and Jungle Resort is set in tropical gardens, 1 km from Playa Cocles. It features an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a restaurant. Amazing accommodation, very luxurious! The staff (especially Jose) were always kind and helpful regardless of the requests. The breakfast was great, the dinner as well (4 courses, with three options for the main one). The pool was clean, usually not crowded. There was a gate that leads directly to the beach.

The resort is close to town but secluded enough that you feel you are away from the main town. The bungalow was clean. The pool is nice. The owners were very attentive and made sure we were enjoying our stay. We have stayed in lots of places in Puerto viejo and this was by far the best. We will definitely be back.

The semi-private beach was amazing. The hotel had the beach lounging dialed in with seating on the beach, and a deck about 30 feet off the beach. They serve coffee near the beach (starting around 5am) in the morning and drinks at night. Breakfast was pretty good with decent portions. The resort had a super nice market attached. The room I had was quirky but cool. It was a great value for money.

Cariblue Beach and Jungle Resort matched expectations. You really get the Caribbean vibe, while the property is fairly close to Puerto Viejo town. There is also a private entrance to Cocles beach. The staff was friendly and were able to change our room when we spotted 2 cockroaches in the room we were initially assigned. They also mentioned this sighting was out of the ordinary, something we believed as the rooms were clean overall.

It was so nice to live in a small neighborhood instead of a tourist resort! Carlos, the host, was a wonderful help with any arrangements we needed. The apartment was spotless. We are going back to stay there again!

Nice location. Very nice staff. The hotel has obviously seen better days and at one time was most likely a very nice resort. Food was good in the restaurant, breakfast likewise.

This is one the best places i have stayed in Costa Rica .The host Selva was amazing courteous ,plesant and always smiling with a positive attitude,informative ,attentive ,exceeds customer service levels when compared even with 5 star resorts. We did not plan to stay at this location it was a last minute booking which turns out just perfect for our 24 years Anniversary .
