Pure perfection! This hotel is an oasis of joy and relaxation. The facilities are a little bit outside of Puerto Jimenez, which renders a feeling of entering a retreat. The distances to the small city/village center are walkable; optionally, bikes are rented out at the hotel. Everything was simply perfect: staff, breakfast, gym, luxurious room, amazing pool, very affordable room service. The staff helped with booking tours to the nearby Corcovado National Park and provided information on other activities like night tours and kayaking; additionally, information about (public) transport was also given at any time.

Located in Uvita, 19 km from Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, Selva Armonia Immersive Jungle Resort provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. This is one of the most wonderful and special resort I’ve visited. Set high up on a mountain in the jungle with spectacular views, is this beautiful place of rest and peace. The attention to detail is in itself exquisite. From the building material used for the structures to the delicious plant based cuisine…it’s a slice of paradise. The fact that Selva is self sustaining, consciously respectful in every way of where it is located, it’s imprint on the land, makes me wish other resorts followed this blueprint. Your senses are fed and restored on every level!

Oxygen Jungle Villas & Spa is located 5 km from Playa Hermosa Beach and features an infinity pool, sun decks, spa treatments, Indonesian architecture and free Wi-Fi. The food was very inexpensive and we got a LOT for the price. We couldn't finish our meals 75% of the time. There is a trail at the resort you can hike, 10min hike or 25min hike, depending on which way you take, but this hike will lead you to 2 beautiful waterfalls that you MUST experience. My husband and I are not fit people but we were able to enjoy the hike and waterfalls. The resort also offers excursions, we did the ATV tour and I can't even begin to explain how amazing it was. It was a "you only live once" experience. Seeing the views from the top of the mountains was breathtaking. We hiked (10-15mins) to the tallest waterfall and the tour guides took pictures of us in the waterfall. Drove to the next waterfall location where the guides convinced us to jump off a cliff into the waterfall and it was AWESOME! Everything about our visit to Oxygen Jungle Villas turned out trip that started off horrible when we landed in San Jose, into an amazing experience that changed our minds from "we will NEVER come back to Costa Rica" to "we will DEFINITELY be back to Uvita, Costa Rica!"

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a pool with a view, mountain view and a patio, Jaco Oceanfront Condo #1119 in a Luxury Resort is set in Jacó. The view is amazing. Condo is like new, super clean and you have everything you need in there. Owners are nice and friendly, and they are there for you if you need anything. Great pool area, beautiful beach and with a short walk you get to see a lot of animals. We saw a sloth, coatimundis, iguanas and monkeys just across the river.

Located in Santa Teresa Beach in the Puntarenas region, VSELVA RESORT Ocean View Luxury Villas features a garden. The villa offers panoramic ocean view, air condition, high speed wifi, flat screen tv.... Amazing luxury villa in Santa Teresa. Owner and concierge can't do enough for you. Amazing views that make it hard to leave. The decking area and outdoor furniture (including hammock) were a touch. Loved everything about it.

Set in Pavones, 2.1 km from Playa Pavones, La Ponderosa offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Best place we have stayed in Costa Rica. All the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice, room was spacious and comfortable. We hope to visit again soon when going back to Pavones.
