The owners clearly care a lot about the place and their guests! The amount of small little details that we loved is too many to mention individually, but everything looked like it was done with intention, from the kitchenware to the bathroom supplies to even the coat hangers. The fireplace was an absolutely amazing little add-on, which one doesn’t often get, and which made it even cozier and homey-er. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything worked great, the beds were comfortable and warm. The place in itself is easy to find with the descriptions, and close enough to the next town to quickly get some essentials if needed, while also far enough away to feel cosy and calm. We had a brief chat with one of the owners when we arrived, who was super nice and told us a little bit about the house and the area in general. Thanks for an amazing stay!

The hosts were great, greeted us even at the late time we arrived and asked us about our trip and where we've been and where we're going and gave us some helpful tips (only host we had that did that) they upgraded us to a better room and we had some frozen food with us that we couldn't cook and the hosts went above and beyond and cooked the food for us! We were delighted by their hospitality. The room was great, Its location was far and quite remote but that just made it even more enjoyable for us as it was in a prime location to watch the northern lights If you're planning to stay in Egilsstaðir this is the place for you

Set in the quiet countryside of Eastern Iceland, these basic cottages are 7 minutes’ drive from the village of Vopnafjördur. It provides a kitchenette and free toiletries. We enjoyed our stay really much. The room was warm, we had hot water in our bathroom, and the tiny kitchen was also enough for us. The view was really amazing, we were lucky enough to see some aurora too. Our host was also very kind.
