Booked last minute due to a flight delay and was perfect for my layover. Lovely cottage with everything I could need, host was very accommodating over WhatsApp, and a nice remote location by the sea!

Este hostal se encuentra en la pequeña localidad costera de Gardur, a solo 10 minutos en auto del aeropuerto internacional de Keflavík. Se proporciona wifi gratis. A very nice and cosy place, it's not very big but it's comfortable and the floor heating was keeping it nicely warm. We didn't meet with the hosts but the communication was fast and the check-in & check-out process was smooth. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the address was easy to find, close to the airport and some nice tourist spots. We've chosen this location, as there was a higher possibility to observe the Northern Lights, even if the activity is low and surely enough, we managed to see them through the window. The Gardur Lighthouse is also within walking distance, which is also a good spot for Aurora, so it was quite convenient. Also, the beds were really soft and comfortable and we had a goodnight sleep.

El By the Lighthouse es un alojamiento independiente con zona de playa privada situado en la costa, a solo 3,8 km del centro de Vogar. El complejo Blue Lagoon está a solo 16 minutos en auto. Cozy yet spacious nice clean place, stairs were manageable for my mom with limited mobility. The host Mrs Dagmar is very kind and the area is even more beautiful than I imagined. I would love to come back here one day.
