Beautiful scenery and a great relaxed vibe on the river with free paddleboards and boats. The host Vin was so friendly. I turned up at Cat Ba and sent a whatsapp and a boat came and picked me up from the island. On the second night we went to their hostel on the island and had a few drinks and some food, and everyone there was just as friendly. Really, anything you need and they're so happy to help. Would highly recommend!

First thing first, Elite of the sea is hands down the most luxurious cruise available in Halong Bay. Even before the cruise started, we were a little bit taken aback on how good and frequent the communication was. We were late for our cruise, David called us while we were on the way from the airport to inform us that he will stay at the harbour to wait for us and organised a boat to get to the cruise. From the get go, we realised how personalised the service was. We had our own 'butler', Jay who was fantastic, ready to attend to your need when needed. The room itself was 5 star with nice balcony witnessing the scenic Halong Bay (we were a bit unlucky as the weather wasn't the best when we were there). I thought the 7 course meal was great as well, especially with the service from Jay. What struck me the most is the ratio of staffs to guests which was very high! They really make you feel welcome and special. I love the attention to details. David (manager)was always around to chat and explain our itinerary. Nar was very friendly whom we had a very entertaining conversation with. He spared no effort to make our stay enjoyable. There so many things to enjoy about this trip, which I won't be able to include in this short review. The only thing to be mindful about is the WiFi will be erratic as you will be on a cruise away from the mainland. All on all, it is definitely a 10 stars experience, fully recommended without any reservation. It is honestly by far the best service we had so far and that is coming from a couple who travel a lot and mainly stay in high ends hotels. Before this trip, we thought the best service we had was from a certain 5 stars hotel in Thailand. Well, Elite of the sea team ( especially David, Jay and Nar) convinced us otherwise! Very friendly and welcoming hosts ready to help with local trip advice, bike, tours and bus to next destination. They even served two breakfasts for me every day, as I usually eat a lot. Room is clean, view is beautiful, food is tasty. Close to the city

Fantastic location, great shared terrace with a view, really warm and hospitable hosts. All the privacy you want, but still feeling at home. The cruise they recommended and booked for us was good and great value for price, we also had help with transfer to and from the port. Would absolutely come back!

Situated in Ha Long, 600 metres from Queen Cable Car Station, The Bay - Ha Long Homestay features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy in the balcony or lush common area. Homestay in central location , 5 min walking to beach, walking street, habor for bay tour is so closed here and you can book good tour with full services from Tung, he is so friendly and supportive, any need feel free to tell him, he will reply asap. Room was so clean and well decorated.Highly recommendation.!!!!

This place was perfect!! Great location, super clean, i mean so clean you could literally eat off the floor!! Beautiful smoking lounge on the rooftop. Great location with a short walk to the center. We had breakfast every morning prepared by the owners wife that was absolutely delicious and the highlight was when the owner Mr Throng would come up to your table each morning with his own home brewed fruity Rice wine and pour you a shot with him and say “This is how we say good morning in vietnam” and believe me it was good, so good i asked him for a second round ;) Mr throng was very helpful with booking us an excursion the first day and renting his bike, he even pulled out a map of the island explaining to us in detail what route to take to get to the near by attractions and how long it would take and timed it perfectly so that we would reach the Jetty on the otherside of the island on time for a beautiful sunset. he even advised us about the money exchange rates in Cat ba advising us to try our best to pay by card or local currency and to save our dollars to exchange them in a bigger city so that the we would get a higher rate. his genuine character and warm personality made our stay in Cat ba a memorable one for sure! Would definitely without a doubt recommend Cat ba central homestay to anyone that is planing to visit and would definitely stay here if we ever return to cat bar in the future!!!!
