We were going to the Addo Elephant Reserve and the property is a 5-minute drive from the south gate. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our host, Leanne. She was incredibly informative about the park and the local area. She recommended a local restaurant that served delicious food and gave us information about local facilities. She gave us a tour around the property to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. The property was incredibly clean and well-presented throughout. It is light (large windows) and airy. The veranda overlooking the river was one of our favourite places to sit. We watched the sun rise and set over the Addo River and we watched a pair of Mongoose playing in the field behind the house. We took a stroll down to the river and watched life go by from the pier. The bedding/towels/soft furnishing etc. was immaculate and the beds were sensationally comfortable. The bathroom facilities were top-notch (hot water & good water pressure). We also appreciated the fact that the car parking was undercover, so our vehicle was constantly in the shade. A cool car in November in South Africa is a definite blessing. We did not use the pool, but it was lovely, clean and private. We loved our stay and would recommend this excellent property very highly. Thanks, Leanne for making our stay as perfect as it was.

Sundune Guest House ligt aan de oevers van de rivier de Sundays en heeft een tuin met terras. Er is ook een gedeelde lounge. The property is very safe, as they have CCTV and electric fences. The room is clean and comfortable, and you can easily tell that they really paid attention to details. It is really nice to walk along the river behind the property in the morning or evening. What I like the most is the manager, Leanne. She is a wise lady and very informative. She gave me a lot of tips about travelling in South Africa and also Addo Elephant Park. I told her I wanted to try bobotie before I left the country and she recommended me to visit Nanaga Farm Stall. Thanks to Leanne, I managed to find bobotie pie there =) Unfortunately, I was only there for one night. If not, I really think that there are many things that I can learn from her

Happy Jackal is conveniently located 2 km from the South Gate to Addo National Park. This guest house features an outdoor pool and the spacious rooms come with satellite TV, and a refrigerator. heerlijk verblijf, super fijne lokatie, lekker ontbijt. Maar bovenal de hele fijne sfeer die er hangt. We hebben een middagje lekker bij het zwembad gelegen, het was er mooi rustig deus wij konden heerlijk bij komen van onze game drive. We hebben via de Happy Jackal een game drive geboekt en zijn met ranger Gabriel op pad geweest, een zeer ervaren ranger die veel wist te vertellen en de dieren heel goed wist te spotten, Top dag!!
