The host, Francesca, was very personable and accommodating. She provided our transportation to and from the train station and answered all of our questions. Her dog keeps the guests company at the villa in the mornings and he is so cute. The Villa was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We loved staying in Colico which had minimal tourism compared to other places on the lake. It was the most relaxing stay we could have had in Lake Como!

The room was spacious, clean, and had a balcony with an unrivaled view of Lake Como where you can watch the sunrise and sunset in a quiet, less touristy part of the region. Could have easy spent the entire day there watching the lake. The breakfast was also a good mix of savory and sweet Italian breakfast foods. The owner himself was super friendly and accommodating to us arriving late past the normal time to check in. Will stay again if I ever return, thanks a ton!

About 200m from apartment or less. Nice bakery, Buongustaio only 300m from apartment, if that. A small supermarket, La Gran Bottega, and our favourite restaurant il Faro, great places, must visit.

Having a car may have made getting around easier if we had been staying for longer but it gave us the opportunity to just rest in the peaceful surroundings so we were very happy here. It was lovely to look at the lake from the breakfast room. We could also see the lake from our room. Nearby, within easy walking distance through the village, was a very good restaurant which also had a pleasant atmosphere and good food. Quiet and peaceful. Parking available just outside the B and B. Helpful and friendly owner. Baby swallows were being fed across from our window. We continued on our drive around the amazing Lake Como.

Giovanni is a great host and we loved the house, the nearby beach (3 min walk through the forrest) and the quiet location. Piona beach (1 km) is an excellent windsurfing site, Collico offers bars, restaurants, grocery shopping and two windsurfing schools. Hiking on the ersten shore of the lake is nice (good accessability by car and great views down to the lake).
