It felt like we were stepping into some magical cottage, tucked away in beautiful countryside on the cusp of a forest and full of light and warmth in those times of Christmas festivities. Peter and Mario are the most charming hosts and made us feel wonderfully welcome. Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful. We will absolutely come back!

The place is great, a paradise of pastoral tranquility and of serenity, I am sure it would be difficult to find anything better, unless one travels to a remote island. Well, if you like people, movement and action, this is not the place for you, otherwise it is simply ideal for relaxing and leaving your problems behind! I have spent many holidays in France in similar B&B places, but the owners of Grand Lucay far surpass any I have seen before. Extremely kind and friendly as one rarely, very rarely finds. Thank you!

We arrived later than expected, and the welcome was so warm and kind They even made an evening meal for us, which was superb. Breakfast was also very good and generous. The property is charming, very well maintained, with beautiful large gardens. This was a perfect place to stay, and I highly recommend it.

Our stay at the chateau exceeded our expectations. A rural haven, within a few minutes drive of local villages and Vichy. Very high standard breakfast with ample fresh croissants, pastries and fruit to start the day. Amazing host, was very welcoming and gave us full run of the living area and kitchen. The outdoor space was areal treat, with a large pool and plenty of space to relax, picnic, sample the vine, and enjoy the horses. Bike where available free of charge and ideal for a bit of exercise

When thinking about it, we’re not sure we’ve had hosts that were so caring and helpful before. We were on the terrace which looks out over the beautiful vista and they came down and we chatted for maybe an hour. They made fresh bread and yoghurt for breakfast. You can tell they really want you to have a great experience staying there. The building is really well renovated keeping the old convent character while adding a modern touch. The room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. We intend to come back when we can.
