The stay in Ibrahim’s house boat was an experience we will never forget. From the beginning on it was very convenient to stay in contact with Ibrahim and plan every step of our journey. Once we arrived we took a little boat to the floating house and were blessed with a stunning view of the Dal lake and the mountains in the background. Ibrahim and his family welcomed us very friendly. We didn’t have to worry about anything. Boat trips, money exchange, included breakfast or home cooked dinner in kashmiri style, everything was taken care of. In the evening Ibrahim told us the history of Kashmir and its people. An arranged boat took us to floating markets giving us the opportunity to see and purchase amazing handmade crafting. Ibrahims care was more than we could hope for. All in all it was a trip and experience we will never forget. Many thanks to Ibrahim and his family.

You’ll feel like you are in your favourite childhood tv show. It also provides very easy access to all major touristy areas. The service provided by the staff is quite commendable. Trust me on this people here are so cordial and so much known for their hospitality especially Waseem Bhai,you may get every facilities available in any House Boat but true hospitality is what differs,I am truly thankful to all the people of Kashmir from the bottom of my heart for their hospitality. Beautiful floating garden and hill view location. Food is exceptional (Sajadh the chef ), Shikara ride every day is wonderful experience ( Firoz the rider also wonderful singer). Owner ( Sheik ji) of boat house who is very caring and has very good connections to make the whole kashmir trip go very smooth. Central heated is one very good option and makes the stay most comfortable even in winter.
