Rarement nous avons eu un tel accueil!!!! C était l anniversaire du petit garçon et ils nous ont invités au repas du soir avec toute la famille! Une famille adorable qui offre de très belles prestations d hébergement et d accueil! Remarquable!

Les maisonnettes sont très calmes, loin de toute route et à proximité de vergers. Elles sont décorées avec goût, la nôtre était traditionnelle avec des tapis par terre. Une grande chambre avec salon, une autre avec deux petits lits et une salle de bain équipée. Le tout avec climatisation pour l'été . Accueil impeccable par le maître des lieux qui est resté discret mais toujours joignable. Une belle salle en extérieur avec vaisselle, réfrigérateur et plaques de cuisson.

It’s in a nice quiet part of town with a wonderful farm like feel to the place with fruit trees, walnuts, grapes and berries growing in the garden. Down the back they have chi Ken’s and rabbits. The room was pleasant, good air con, and very clean bathroom. And the included breakfast? Delicious!!!Aida (the mum) is an excellent cook. She even made me dinner both nights - also delicious. Jemma (her daughter) spoke excellent English and helped out when I had a problem locating the place. Ashot (her son) arrived the second day and was spent the afternoon chatting with me and other guests about history, food and wildlife. This is such a lovely place to spend one or many nights in. And the whole family are a delight.

Babken and Gohar (the hosts) are two of my favorite people in the planet. They accommodated a late booking request from me and despite the late hours, and they received me like they were my family. With my very basic Russian and Armenian skills we were able to have a lovely conversation over a home-cooked dinner that tasted like heaven to me; complemented with the best homemade konjak and apricot vodka I’ve ever had. What impressed me the most is that for them it is very important that their guests have the best experience: so no matter what problem you have, they will try their best to sort it out (myself, I had an issue with my car and Babken helped me in the morning). Their kindness and warmth, truly, is one of the highlights of my experience in Armenia. Their house has lovely views and a big garden (in a Summer day being here was a breath of fresh air); and is quite spacious. The upper floor is the one used for guests, and everything is clean and well-managed. There is a small kitchen; and the shower (you get towels, yay!) is separated from the WC. Location is overall good, because it’s close enough to Yeghegnadzor if you need more “urban” services; but it is in Vernashen (an upper village), so it has all the tranquility of the countryside. And it is a good base to explore the Tanahat and Spitakavor Monasteries (the latter is one of my favorites because you can ring the bell and the hike to get there is AMAZING) and Proshaberd. Do be careful with your car because once you leave the H47 it’s all gravel roads. I had a great long night of sleep and I woke up to the lovely smell of freshly baked muffins that were part of my breakfast. Then, I was lucky enough to hear Babken play the piano (you’ll be surprised with his skills even though he wasn’t formally trained). How can you not have a great day starting like that? Afterwards, when I went out to explore for the day, I was gifted a few apples from the garden.

The view is amazing. Breakfast the best and healthiest! Owner made the best coffee himself! Everything just perfect !
