The staff was great and as a Spanish speaker, I could chat quite a bit and learn more about life in Menorca on a more human level. The house itself is full of a mix of art and artifacts, like striking modern paintings and ancient roman pottery pulled from the surrounding sea. We would go back in a heartbeat. We felt perfectly relaxed in the natural menorcan wilderness, with nothing to disturb us but birdsong.

The location is excellent, very handy for walking to the shops, bars, museum, cathedral, markets, etc. in the old city. Also it is an easy 10 minute walk to the main bus station which has buses to the airport, Cuitadella and other places on the island. Casa Agnes itself is very nice with large comfortable rooms spread over 3 floors - ground floor with kitchen and eating area, separate toilet and direct street access ; 1st floor with bedroom and bathroom ; top floor with a large living room. Everything was clean and modern and it was very well equipped with a good WiFi connection, TV, coffee maker, clothes and dish washers, lots of glasses and crockery, cutlery, towels, etc. It has a good sized bath with a shower, and 2 toilets - one downstairs adjacent to the kitchen / eating area, and one in the bedroom's ensuite bathroom. Basic consumables like salt and pepper, oil and vinegar, and toilet paper were supplied, as were 2 big bottles of mineral water (a very nice touch!). We will definitely stay there again if we go back to Mahon.
