This is probably one of the top 10 most memorable places I've ever stayed! The location couldn't be beat. Super beautiful & peaceful. Darina and Remy have thought of everything to make your stay amazing (the kitchen is stocked, the fridge has cold beers, there are screens on the windows, homemade soap in the bathroom, shower with a million-dollar view, handmade furniture, tasteful decor, and a french press to make your own coffee when you wake up for the beautiful sunrise!)The chalet is set up for a super comfortable stay. The drive to get there was super rugged, then there's a walk on a dirt path to make it the last 5 minutes. This only adds to the remoteness of the place making it feel very exclusive to be here. I loved having the evening meal with our hosts, healthy food harvested from the garden, homemade bread, and chocolate. It was a privilege to stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

The restaurant dit not have a lot of options, but the selection they had was broad and the food was really very good! The power in the village went out a few times, but they have a generator in the restaurant, so that is great!

The staff, Werner in particular, we’re very helpful with information and any questions we had. Hotel is basic but clean and good value. Simple but nice breakfasts. Lanquin is a very small village but there’s a nice small restaurant across the street from the hotel

The restaurant/bar has enough to offer and for very affordable prices. Don't expect something from the village Lanquin itself because it has not much to nothing to offer. If you are coming to relax and enjoy the nature, and specifically the Semuc Champey then this is the perfect hostel to spent a couple of nights. Beautiful place to stay!

The photos do not reflect the beautiful view from the cabin and its special location. Remy and Darina make sure that your experience will be not less than amazing, they help with everything you want: Shuttles, tours, explanation of the village, etc.. and of course the food they cook at a very, very high level! We were there for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was very hard for us to leave. Truly this is the most magical place we've spent time in!SapirYoung couple
