The apartment was very clean and well equipped, everything we needed was there. The facilites were fantastic. Host was very helpful and responded to our request well. Close enough to Panajachel to get to easily but not in the middle of everything. Perfect both for people who want to go and do tourist things or those who want to relax in a jacuzzi.

The apartment was really clean, spacious and comfortable. Really well equipped kitchen, so could definitely also host longer stays. Comfortable bed with crisp cotton sheets. Cozy warm light reading lamps in the bedroom which was a welcome change from the energy saving glaring lightbulbs you often get around these parts. Good water pressure and shower got really hot for those missing a proper hot shower in Guatemala. 8min tuktuk ride to the boat pier. Road noise didn't bother me at all, I always sleep with earplugs, but they also provide them if you need some. Felt safe as a solo female traveller.

This was without doubt our Best stay on a month trip. The family here were very friendly and warm, preparing nice and plenty of breakfast every morning. We sat and ate the breakfast together and got the chance to speak a lot of Spanish and hear about their thoughts of the school system and the political system. The room was very spacious and it was quiet at night, because the house is approximately 1 km from the tourist streets at the lake.

My husband and I stayed in the Jade Villa and loved every minute of the time we were there. Waking up to the view of the volcanos, listening to the birdsong, relaxing on our private deck- it really was paradise. Marvin was exceptional. From the moment I booked through to when my husband and I checked out, Marvin was very responsive and helped us with any need we had. Everything about B’Alam Ya is exceptional. We loved our stay!
