Best place to stay in Gyeonju! We are so glad that we stayed here in this traditional accommodation. It is super centrally located, next to the tombs and to the street full of restaurants and cafés, but quiet at night at the same time :) We slept so well! A fantastic experience! I ended up staying for 5 nights here. The owner went well beyond requirements to make sure my stay was a good one. Very sweet and helpful despite not speaking much English (and my Korean being crap). The place is very clean and comfortable, good AC, good common area, excellent breakfast and very friendly and laid- back in general. I prefer to stay in places frequented more by local tourists than international ones and this place was perfect in that sense. No boring and hackneyed backpacking stories, just good insight into Korean culture from other guests. I've been lucky enough to be able to explore much of Asia at a snail's pace and this hostel was a top experience for me. Thanks for your kindness and hospitality! As for the town, there are some great things to see, most of all the. National Museum, the park with the tombs and the temple outside town. Also a great small 2 building museum in a park near the hostel which goes into detail on how the tombs were built. The hanok part of town I found a bit disappointing, mainly due to overcrowding and a theme park like feel to it- I much preferred the one in Jeonju to Gyeongju but enjoyed Gyeongju overall and, obviously, the guest house!
