I had initially booked a 3 night stay at Aqua Sunset in Gulhi and a 3 night stay in Maafushi, but decided to stay 6 nights in Gulhi at the last moment. I’m so glad I made that decision! The property is on a quiet part of the island (there is a lot of construction going on throughout Gulhi), but just a 5 minute walk to Bikini Beach. The people that work there are incredible, always checking on you and making sure you have everything you need. Pathum is hardworking, constantly cleaning and caring for the property, and Dilan their restaurant chef always made sure the food was to our liking. My parents and I were always greeted with a warm smile. It’s a small and simple guesthouse, but we had everything we needed. The owner is making improvements in the rooms and he is always around if you need anything. Tip to tourists coming to Gulhi: this is a local island. Talk to the locals, learn about their culture and lifestyle. Be kind, and you’ll have the best experience here.

The hotel is the best on the island, just sand foot on the bikini beach. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. Rooms really clean, great airconditioning. The food was also really nice, especially the grilled fish and tuna steak. Looking forward to be back!

The location was excellent, away from the other places, its actually the last guest house in the row, and we liked it that way.

It is located at Gulhi island which is very peaceful and the stay was quite cozy. We hardly saw 10 guests around the whole island which made our honeymoon so peaceful and romantic. We could walk around the quite beaches the whole night and play with local kids during evening. The hotel staff was very polite and punctual. Everyday they had a different arrangements for the room decor. Also, the breakfast was superb and food was made as per our requirement. The manager was quite helpful and the special mention to Saif who took care of our overall stay and helped with all our requests. My b'day also was also celebrated and beach side romantic dinner was arranged by the hotel. They also helped us with our excursions, personal airport transfer, water sports activities. Sohel was fantastic! Fresh fruit and juices brought to the room and nothing was ever too much for him. Great location < 5 minute walk to the tourist beach and 2 minutes to the jetty.

Het personeel doet er alles aan om je een thuis gevoel te geven. Het ontbijt was super en divers. WiFi werkt top en de locatie op het eiland is super. Als je naar Maafushi gaat, dan is dit de plek!
