Everything! You are living alongside Teresa, the owner and cook, and she is the nicest lady with THE BEST gallo pinto for desayuno. The pancakes are also great! She only speaks Spanish but is always willing to listen and help out, even if she has to wait for you to translate everything on your phone first. The room we stayed in was MASSIVE. I liked everything about it: furnishing, how clean it was, etc. The only thing I would point out is that the wifi was not fast enough for me to conduct work / meetings. But for that we hopped on our bike and went over to Cafe Campestre which has great food and wifi.

The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Food was amazingly made by Delfa, their nica chef. Who made Vegetarian dishes with farms ingredients and using fire in a typical stove. I totally recommend to have all the meals you can, you’ll love it. We enjoyed a volcano Concepcion tour with a young guide named Josias, who showed us that wonderful landscape. Also the reception helped us to get a scooter for 25usd, a nice way to go around the island. The chef daughter made a surprise birthday cake for my girlfriend, which made us a felt like home. Finca La Magia is the perfect spot for privacy and natural surroundings. No internet coverage but a decent wifi at the restaurant.

Maria doesn't really speak english, but she definitely trys hard to make you feel comfortable! Also, the food is really good, you have to try the filete del pescado & banano con leche! We did not meet too many other backpackers in the 4 nights we stayed but nevertheless worth a visit.

Amazing apartment with a huge bed and a lot of space. It was very handy to repack our luggage. Very good breakfast for a good price. Kind staff. Great garden. Two lovely dogs and a cool cat. You need go have a off road vehicle (but imo it is very handy for the rest of ometepe as well). There is nothing we didn't like. It was super!

Loki the dog was the highlight of Selvista. He came with us all the way up the Maderas volcano and was so sweet and affectionate, not leaving our side the whole way.
