The host made us feeling like home. She is extremely welcoming, prepares amazing breakfast, coffee and house-made lemonade in-between. I can definitely recommend the offered tour to the Tatacoa desert. They also organized a collectivo back to neiva for us.

It was really cool to be out in the middle of nowhere in the desert. The hotel is very rustic and located on a functioning ranch with cows and horses and everything. It is also walking distance from the two grey desert hiking trails. The owner was really friendly and fun to chat with as well as helpful with anything we needed. The food was also some of the best hotel food we’ve had.

I wish I could stay here longer to enjoy this beautiful eco friendly location. Lovely friendly people, beautiful nature surroundings and cute huts. Fall asleep on a comfy mattress protected with mosquito net and enjoy nature sounds. The pool filled with river water is so refreshing and calming. They also had vegan and vegetarian food :D

Hostel Tatacoa er staðsett í Villavieja á Huila-svæðinu og er með garð. Heimagistingin býður upp á ókeypis einkabílastæði og þrifaþjónustu. The owner is so friendly and nice and she was a HUGE help for me! She organized a private tour/driver to the desert for me, Augusto was great! She also organized a private person who was willing to drive me to Neiva after 10pm because I took a nightbus to Cali and the last bus from the village leaves around 6pm. She made me a delicous breakfast and the bed was the most comfortable one I slept in since weeks! Don‘t miss out in this great host and hostel :)))) Muchas Gracias para todo!

LUNA del DESIERTO TACOA er nýlega enduruppgert gistihús og býður upp á gistirými í Villavieja. Ókeypis WiFi er í boði og einkabílastæði eru í boði gegn aukagjaldi. The owners of the hostal are very kind and friendly. They prepared breakfast for us at 5:30 o'clock just because we wanted to leave at 6:00 in the desert. It was very clean in the rooms and in the bathrooms.

Privada y comoda cabaña, Casa Margarita, Villavieja er staðsett í Villavieja og býður upp á garð og sameiginlega setustofu. Located just a 10 minutes walk outside of Villavieja, this beautiful cabin works great as a starting point for exploring the area. It has a great bed, amazing bathroom, a kitchen, a TV, air conditioning, and a laundry machine. There is a good, local restaurant almost next door where you can eat, or you can go into town.

Pachingo Tatacoa Desert er staðsett í La Victoria og býður upp á gistirými með setusvæði. Það er garður við tjaldstæðið. Gestir geta notið fjallaútsýnis. I loved the cottage, and the whole feel of it. It felt like we were secluded, so that was really nice.

Is cool place, clean, colourful, stuff was very nice and helpful.Is in finish of the village, in nature, around going free cows and horses. To the center where are shops and restaurants is few minutes.

San José Tatacoa býður upp á loftkæld herbergi í Villavieja. Bændagistingin er með garð og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Bændagistingin er með fjölskylduherbergi. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Dunas Tatacoa er staðsett í Villavieja og býður upp á útisundlaug sem hægt er að færa út og útsýni yfir garðinn. Neiva er í 34 km fjarlægð. Ókeypis einkabílastæði eru í boði á staðnum. Our stay was absolutely amazing (special thanks to Hilda and the entire staff for being simply amazing). We booked a 3 people tent which not only had a fan but an air conditioner as well. The property was clean with bathrooms situated in various convenient locations. The property also has a nice pool (where we spent our afternoons and evenings). The property is situated 10 min walking from the town of Villavieja (good location). The staff was simply amazing: accommodating, hard-working, always smiling and always made us feel welcomed and at home. We will keep them in our hearts 🤍
