On the edge of Loch Lomond and a 30-minute drive from Glasgow and its airport, this 4-star guest house has hearty Scottish breakfasts and free Wi-Fi. Excellent host who was willing to fulfil our special request of a very late check-in - a request that we found very hard to accept by other hotels or guest houses doing in-person check-in in that area. Fantastic breakfast menu you can choose from the evening before. Even better the taste and quantity of served meals we were not able to finish. We had a very short but the better stay at Gowanlea Guest House I would recommend to anybody. If coming back to Balloch and surroundings, definitely going to stay at Gowanlea again.

Set in Balloch and only 28 km from Glasgow Botanic Gardens, Levenhowe Holiday Apartment offers accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. We had a wonderful stay at Alan’s apartment! The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with a small creek running behind it. it was an easy walk to a large Co-op grocery store, Balloch County Park and Loch Lomond Shores. It also was a great home base for exploring the Loch Lomond area. The apartment itself was fantastic! it has plenty of room for our family of three. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make all our meals. The washing machine was great and there was a drying rack outside we could use. Alan was so helpful answering questions before the trip and he and his sister were so kind during our stay! We would recommend this apartment to family and friends and would love to stay again as well!
