We had a mechanic issue with our rental car, the host was very nice and let us stay extra few hours and came to rescue us, drop us off in town to wait for a replacement car.

Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. Great place to stay in a beautiful location. The guesthouse has a really good restaurant on-site, and a small but very nice spa area. Of the places we stayed at during our recent trip to Iceland, this was definitely one of our top favourites.

She was a life saver because our car brpke in the middle of the road and she waited until late night to check us in. Also, the next day she kindly offered and gave us a ride to the nearest city where we could rent a new car.

Overnatningsstedet ligger i Egilsstadir, under 5,9 km fra Hengifoss og 45 km fra Kirkjufoss. We booked a lodge for 4 days but due to a snow storm and closed roads we stayed an extra night. The hosts are absolutely wonderful. They gave us dinner and breakfast. Apart from their care they are truly passionate about their work. They are building new lodges that look amazing. Our lodge was cozy and had everything we needed. To those who read this: book here and you won’t be disappointed.

The best accommodation we had on our roadtrip in Iceland, would stay there again.

The host is very nice and kind and she has the most friendly dogs and cats 😍 The bedroom is extremely clean, as is the toilet, and very well equipped. The bed is extremely comfortable! The location is perfect and as it has little light nearby we were able to see the northern lights.
