A recently renovated guest house set in Birkimelur, Strönd Guesthouse features barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Loved everything about our stay. The room was clean, the location was great and the communal facilities were excellent. Everything had been thought of with so many little touches that meant so much - handy sandwich boxes, food bags, foil etc. We were pleasantly surprised to receive extra coffee pods and fresh towels part way through our stay.

Situated in Borgarnes in the West Iceland region, Mófellsstaðakot has a patio and mountain views. The property features river views. Fjola and Jon were outstanding hosts. Our apartment on their farm was a haven for our stay near Borgarnes. Views of the surrounding fields were great, and such a nice change from city hotels. The apartment had everything we needed, including a filter coffee maker. The weather turned overnight, and roads were closed the next morning. Fjola kindly informed us of this and offered that we could stay longer, which was very generous.

Situated in Flateyri, in a historic building, 21 km from Pollurinn Hot Spring, The Old Bookstore is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a garden and shared lounge. This is a hidden gem in heart of Flateyri. We spent there a romantic New Years Eve and we were more than amazed by this beautful experience. It is a family run bookstore/accommodation business for decades with nicely preserved antique interior. Host gave us a quick tour in the building. Kitchen was full of kitchenware, spices, sweets and food for breakfast. Lots of books, boardgames, guitar to play and so on. This is one of 2 best places in Vestfirdir for a romantic stay.

Located in Kaldrananes, Hvammur 3 Hrakhólar with private hot tub offers an open-air bath, a garden and a barbecue. The property has river and garden views. The best accommodation we had on Iceland. Everything was perfect, very modern cottage! And private hot tub was the best after long days of driving. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 12/10.
