Hiljuti renoveeritud neljatärnihotell Iroriyado Hidaya asub Takayamas, Takayama jaamast 1,5 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on aed, ühine puhkeruum ja privaatne parkla. Our stay at Iroriyado Hidaya was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip. The hospitality was exceptional, probably the best we've ever experienced even in comparison to other more expensive ryokans. Staff were extremely kind and helpful; we had our own itinerary planned out, but we've seen how they assisted other foreign guests with recommendations to visit around Takayama. We had a Japanese speaker in our group, but the language barrier should not be much of an issue as they use a translation device with international guests. Location is quite a bit of a walk from the station, though we felt that it was worth it and they were extremely willing to help with taxi reservations for the next and subsequent mornings. Very highly recommended to stay here :)

Hida Minzoku Mura rahvaküla on 46 km kaugusel. 2022 WAY SHIRAKAWAGO on hiljuti renoveeritud majutusasutus, mis asub Shirakawas. A simple homely accommodation. The owner is one of the most thoughtful host that carefully penned down the things to do (with clear English instructions with photos) in Shirakawa-go. There is a communal area where we can prepare food. The host has also left us some for us to eat and they are all FOC! There is even a washing machine with detergent that allows my family and I to do laundry after a few days on the road. Totally love this property!

Guesthouse SHIGI asub Nakatsugawas, 46 km kaugusel Gero jaamast, 24 km kaugusel nii Ouist kui ka Enakyo Imedemaalt. Külalistemajal on tasuta eraparkla, ühine köök ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. (For the record I speak a little of jaoanese) I had to stop one night here because Nagano was too far from Nagiso. But in the end I am glad I did. Sakashita is NOT a tourist town, there are no konbini, and likely there wont be a lot of english around. However, what lacks in english makes up in friendly rural Japan vibes <3 Had to do laundry and get dinner and Ashi-san helped me through both of those matters. I had some beer and okonomiyaki in a local restaurant where evdrbody was having a great time watching a baseball match, had a great meal and chatted up with the super friendly locals. The traditional garden was amazing to put some shakuhachi vibes in the background and let yourself drift in time.

Ühise puhkeruumi ja vaikse tänavavaatega Toraya inn asub Geros, 48 km kaugusel Takayama jaamast ja 49 km kaugusel Hida Minzoku Mura rahvakülast. It was quiet and very clean. The staff was helpful. We booked a private bath which was very enjoyable - a nice introduction to onsens!

Vaikse tänavavaate ja ühise puhkeruumiga Guest House Motomiya asub Nakatsugawa Magome linnaosas, 20 km kaugusel Enakyo Imedemaalt ja 40 km kaugusel Jaapani Taisho külast. Keiko is an excellent cook, turning out elaborate and delicious meals. The location was a great base for the hike from Magome to Tsumago.

Mäevaatega Guesthouse Nedoko asub Nakatsugawas, 21 km kaugusel Ouist ja Enakyo Imedemaalt. We stayed in a bunk bed room but it was spacious and comfortable with seats on the floor and a small table. The beds were really comfortable and the facilities of the guesthouse were great.

Aia ja sisehoovivaatega Guesthouse Gifu SUAI asub Gifus, 29 km kaugusel Nagoya lossist ja 30 km kaugusel Nagoya jaamast. Really great hosts. Cute animals too :) -Sandro

2018. aastal ehitatud Itomori asub JR Takayama jaamast 7-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel. Excellent location, close to everything but still quiet. Beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well.
