Situated 1.5 km from Takayama Station, Iroriyado Hidaya is a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in Takayama, boasting a garden, a shared lounge and private parking. The ryokan is awesome! An excellent experience beyond our expectations. The staff is extremely nice and friendly and always ready to help if needed. Try the Japanese breakfast! It is a unique experience.

Guesthouse SHIGI is located in Nakatsugawa, 46 km from Gero Station, 24 km from Ōi, as well as 24 km from Enakyo Wonderland. Great place to stay! Very beautifull, traditional house with a cosy kitchen. The rooms are really nice. Very close to the trainstation. Good place to stay if you are planning to do the Nakasendo hike. The host is super nice and very helpfull.

Offering a shared lounge and quiet street view, Toraya is set in Gero, 48 km from Takayama Station and 49 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Super nice, clean and cosy hotel with supportive staffs. Location is a bit far from station but very close to central area.

Offering quiet street views and a shared lounge, Guest House Motomiya is set in the Magome district of Nakatsugawa, 20 km from Enakyo Wonderland and 40 km from Japan Taisho Village. It was great. The design of the house was traditional, and the host has made it extremely clean and tidy.

Featuring mountain views, Guest House Hinode offers accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge, around 2.6 km from Takayama Station. Owner is very very kind! And it’s a great hostel! I forgot my glasses and he even offered to send them to me

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Guesthouse Gifu SUAI is situated in Gifu, 29 km from Nagoya Castle and 30 km from Nagoya Station. Hosts are friendly, warm, accomodating and attentive. Very clean and homely. Lively pets around, which was a welcomed change :) A 30 min walk from Gifu JR, hosts happily dropped us to the station at checkout. I believe you can organise pick up and drop off with the host. Regardless, a 30 min walk on flat ground is completely possible and should not deter anyone. However there is a local line which is 13 min walk from the house.

Built in 2018, Itomori is located a 7-minute walk form JR Takayama Station. The old town of Takayama is 6 minutes on foot, while Takayama Jinya is a 10-minute stroll. This was a wonderful place to stay for our family of five. The location is very convenient. The beds were large and comfortable. Kitchen facilities were good having a Speer washing machine and dryer was great for a family of 5. The host a lovely and the self check in was easy. If we come back again I would happily stay here.
