It seemed like the longer we stayed, the more we were treated. The private onsen rooms were fabulous, too. We went several times each day!

TSUMUYA features a balcony and is set in Naoshima, within just 1.5 km of Ando Museum and 1.5 km of Gokuraku-ji Temple. The venue is a really great, quiet space near the Tsumu'ura bus stop on the east side of the island, which means it's a shorter bike ride round to the museums in the south. Kuni & Akkie were lovely - they met us at Miyanoura Port to collect our luggage, gave us directions and advice, and even helped us book restaurants before our arrival. Highly recommended for anyone looking to spend more time enjoying Naoshima.

Located in Kasuga, 26 km from Takamatsu, Asan Kotonami features a terrace and views of the mountain. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Our stay at Asan Kotonami was nothing short of extraordinary! Spending one night in this traditional ryokan was an unforgettable experience. Everything about the stay was perfect, from the serene ambiance to the impeccable service. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the food. The traditional 10-course meals provided a cultural experience unlike any other. Each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making it a feast for both the palate and the eyes. It was a culinary journey that left me wishing I had booked at least two nights so I could indulge in these amazing meals again and again. What impressed me even more was the accommodation's accommodation of our gluten-intolerant guest. Next time I visit, I'll definitely plan for a longer stay at Asan Kotonami. This place is a gem that offers an authentic and immersive experience into Japanese culture and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to create lasting memories during their stay in Japan.

Great location, 4mins from the ferry, the host was very welcoming and warm. The beds were very comfy and it was cozy sleeping together in the same room. Everything was really clean, highly recommend this place!
