We loved staying at the Family Bat Cave Homestay! Escaro is a wonderful host, he and his family are very welcoming. His wife made delicious food and Esaro arranged a fantastic day and evening tour for us. We were lucky enough to be there on the last day of the New Year celebration in which we joined the community celebration. The accomodations are rustic and just what we were looking for. Highly recommend a stay here is you are looking for a unique Cambodia experience. Esaro’s partner, whose name I can’t remember now, brought us to so many interesting places and shared a lot of information with us. He was also ready with cold water all day for us. The family completely included us in their life and we became friends in this short time. They offer way more than any guesthouse would. The sweet Khmer bananas from their garden, the delicious homemade meals, the walks in the countryside - it all adds up to an unforgettable experience. I can still hear the hum of cicadas in the evening as I write this review. The rooms were as described, nothing flashy, but super clean and comfortable. Aircon in my son’s room was excellent and the fans in the bamboo hut made it nice and cool. Most importantly, in their home you will see how ordinary people live their lives, and the family give a great example of hospitality and resourcefulness. At first I was unsure about how we’d deal with the distance from city centre, but that was absolutely no problem. It’s only 15 mins away by tuktuk, and Phirum helped to negotiate local rate with the driver ($3). Also we spent a lot of time exploring the neighbourhood. A beautiful 30-minute walk takes you to the local Buddhist monastery and a smart restaurant with a lovely view, especially at sunset. I hope that you will come and stay with Phirum to discover real Cambodia for yourself.

Nice family homestay in a quiet and green area. The hosts are absolutely lovely !! They can arrange bus commute for you to your next destination which is very convenient. They allowed us to take an extra shower before taking our sleeping bus the night after we stayed at their place. But the best part was booking a day trip with Sarom (host) to visit Battambang and its countryside, learn about the Khmer culture and the genocide, taste some local specialties. Unforgettable moments of discovery !!

Battambang Dream Bungalows ligger i Battambang i regionen Battambang, 8 km från marknaden Boeung Chhouk. Här erbjuds en terrass och utsikt över bergen. Location is amazing, in the countryside with the view on the rice field. The bamboo rooms are so atypical and although there are plenty of space, we don't get disturbed by insects or other animals. As it is far from the city it is worth having food at the restaurant (the food is definitely awesome) and take a tour with Mr. driver. Unless you have your own plan already, like cycling around, I would recommend to stay there and use all services provided. It's out of the city, which I loved, but to consider based on your priorities. Lastly, the kindness of the people there was something 👌🏼

Nice place with excellent location and great air conditioner. Many good restaurants, central market and river side nearby. The host was super nice and everything went smoothly.
