Room was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of hot water too for the shower. The tour was excellent, we learned so much from Kong. He is a brilliant guide.

It was close to the airport and easy to go to other places like the plain of jars and the city. Most of all, David, the owner of the guesthouse, was very kind and welcoming. The Hillside Residence is located in Xieng Khouang Province in Northern Laos. Just one km away from the city centre, it offers free parking and peaceful countryside accommodation. The patron was absolutely marvellous! So friendly and always willing to help. The family succeeded to create a cosy atmosphere, bit like a living room at home. Great breakfast and great support to explore the area. We were lucky to celebrate Hmong new year, which was a surprise and a gift.
