Breakfast was delicious, room had great size, no hot shower in some rooms but in shared showers yes, so not a problem at all. Tony and his brother are amazing, and Tony gave many advices and suggestions about Jaffna. Staying again there when I visit the city again!

Where do I even begin… Anathan’s place was an oasis, a safe haven for me after I spent a few days in the hectic and chaotic Colombo. From the very first moment that I arrived to the very last minute that I left, I always felt taken care of, spoiled almost, and above everything, I felt at home. In fact, Anathan’s place was so comfortable, so peaceful that it felt almost difficult to get out and explore the town. Obviously a home isn’t a home without its host. And for that, I have to thank Ananthan for going above and beyond to provide me with a comfortable stay. He always made sure that I had enough for breakfast, always asked if I wanted more tea and coffee (and yes, please), and even brought me along to the ceremonies at the Nallur temple where his family and friends were also there, welcoming me with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Even though I was a solo traveller, I had never felt lonely during the entire stay. Ananthan was always there should I need anything. It brought me great joy and peace just to sit by the patio and listen to the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. I was sad that I could not stay longer. And I’d return, time and again.

We really liked Betty’s Cottage and the owners were really nice. They booked our bus from Colombo to Jaffna which was a huge help, and they waited up until 4 am for us to arrive. We had only booked the place for the following night so they charged us half a day. The breakfast offered was fine, nothing to rave about. The WiFi is really good! The hosts are also nice and very dedicated to making sure we got everything we needed.

Malabar Beach Walk, a property with a garden, is located in Jaffna, 11 km from Jaffna Railway Station, 12 km from Jaffna Public Library, as well as 12 km from Jaffna Fort. We liked the place but you do need your own transportation to get there. The accommodation has its own kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 beds. We got dinner from the neighbor twice and it was beyond delicious!! The walk to the beach is short. The owners are super friendly and caring, it was a pleasure to stay here. Hopefully we see you again :) thank you

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Chety Villa is situated in Jaffna, less than 1 km from Nallur Kandaswamy Temple and 2.2 km from Jaffna Railway Station. The place is exceptionally quiet eventhough it is located in a neighbourhood. The owner, Nisha was friendly, caring, and professional. The place is new, clean and full of amenities. I would recommend Chety Villa without any reservations.

Offering a garden and garden view, Malabar home stay is situated in Jaffna, 3.5 km from Jaffna Railway Station and 4.5 km from Jaffna Public Library. Very homely, room was large and clean with good airconditioning. The host was super nice, helpful and friendly, always around to offer help. His wife makes the most delicious home made Jaffna food, try the mutton and crab curry. The place is on a very quiet street, however, it was easy to get a tuk tuk in and out of town or to any place of interest.

Facing the seafront in Delft East, Delft Village Stay has free bikes and a garden. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a sun terrace. Phenomenal! Tommy has something very special going on at Delft Village Stay. The accommodation, facilities, vibe and island itself are excellent. I can't recommend this place enough.

Offering a garden and garden view, Flamingo Villa is set in Jaffna, 100 metres from Jaffna Railway Station and 1.6 km from Jaffna Public Library. Location is just perfect. Town is 2 mints walking distance. Great Villa and beautiful. Rooms are beautiful, cleaned and comfy. Helpful staff. Jaffna style foods are delicious. I really liked that the room service. The parking was easy. The food was fantastic and very fast to arrive. It is the best place to stay in Jaffna
