The super friendly and very communicative owner gave good tips for hiking and showed us a nice waterfall nearby. Our highlight was that he organized a night-out in the village, showing us around the rice fields and the temple and serving us amazing local food in the village in the traditional way. If you are looking for a great local experience in the nature you came to the right place!

Probably the best holiday destination I’ve ever visited. Dave and his staff have served us with delicious food with home made cake and his signature dishes. Also we've been privileged to taste Dave’s Artisan Teas and experience the Tea making process. Beautiful surrounding with excellent misty weather. The Breakfast was exceptional. Sri Lankan favourite string hoppers and the Freshest fruits with Dave's homemade Marmalade and Jams. The best Curd I've ever had. Oh I love the coffee Dave offered!! Super clean rooms and awesome library room with lots of splendid books. Oh we miss Charley so badly.. adorable companion.. :) I would give my highest recommendation and I will definitely visit again! thank you David and the awesome team!

Situado em Matale, o Palapathwela Ross Estate Junction, The Inn at Matale" oferece acomodações confortáveis para viajantes locais e estrangeiros. Everything was great, especially the cappuccino ! Thanx that we were allowed to leave our bicycles in the lobby during the night.

Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

O Hatale Tea Estate Bungalow está situado em meio a plantações de chá exuberantes, a apenas 1 km do Centro de Chá Hatale. Highlight of my holidays, amazing staff and manager was so helpful. Beautiful gardens and tea factory. Excellent meals, it’s like going back in time. Wonderful.

This place is magical, it wowed us from the moment we saw it. The location is stunning, right in the middle of the mountain jungle with fascinating flora and fauna. The old colonial style house is soaked in history. Morphti was an amazing host and Mohan is the most amazing cook, we had some exceptional feasts of great Sri Lankan food. We will definitely go back!
