Stairwell looks run down, but interior is bright and cheerful. Host nestled all sorts of amenities in a small space in inventive ways, such as small string lights to create workspace illumination. Cheerful place. Comfortable sitting space, kitchen table with chairs. Many mirrors. Comfortable bed and light-blocking drapes for sound sleep. Has huge TV (which we didn't use). Excellent secure internet! Note to travelers from USA: this is Latvia. Think of US amenities circa 1950. No microwave. Single burner hotplate with many good pans, a great hot water/tea kettle. Small dorm-size fridge works well, keeps food nice and cold. To use the washing machine, twist the water valve under the sink to horizontal position. To shower, twist to vertical. Also remember that utilities are very expensive in Latvia; it is a kindness to your host to conserve.

Everything was very clean and neat, the TV has Netflix, the kitchen has a ceramic stovetop, and a clothes iron and a hair dryer is also available. Excellent communication with host, earlier check-in can be arranged.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sventes Rasa. We stayed in the house with terrace and the view at the lake was magnificent at sunset. House comes with chairs and table on the terrace, so we could relax after a busy day and enjoy our dinner outside with a fantastic view. The house itself looks new, clean and there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff was very friendly. Absolutely great experience, would definitely recommend.

The host was very nice and she gave the place a very homely feel. Breakfast was very good.

I had boat trip even it was snow . they did not hesitate to prepare the boat. Kitchen was very big with two oven. there were many plates. I feel really as like home. Outside was cold but inside was very warm. Hot water in bathroom. They also provide hairdryer. In the morning I found nice cake with note in the fridge. I wanted peacefull alone vacation. and this place was perfect for that.
