The daily breakfasts, the advice on what to visit and how to go about the island were all very much appreciated.

She picked me up from my boat tour, she gave me the best recommendation for a local massage and dinner. The place was beautiful and spotless. I felt so comfortable. Located in Grande Rivière Sud Est, 17 km from Belle Mare, Riverside Holiday Home provides a terrace and free WiFi. A huge terrace with the view on the river to relax.

Horisun offers accommodation in Belle Mare. The guest house has a barbecue and terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. We had an exceptional stay in this accommodation. It was the perfect location to relax next to the lake before our departure from the island. Very peaceful location with nice view and nature. When we booked, we were a bit concerned of mosquitoes due to its proximity to the lake, but we had no problem at all the 3 days we stayed there. The room was very spacious and clean, the personnel very friendly, and helpful with everything we needed. The breakfast was hearty, with many local products. Totally recommended!

Set on the banks of the Grande Riviere South East river, Otentic, Eco Tent Experience offers a glamping experience featuring a swimming pool and a variety of outdoor activities. We highly highly recommend the lodge. It makes an immediate impression as you come in - everything is very thought through and you notice tiny details everywhere: the decoration, the good vibes, pleasant music, the staff as well as the other tourists are friendly and down to earth. Julien personally welcomed us and gave us a tour of the premises. Food is exceptional (very fresh, plenty of vegetables and fruit which we really appreciated, some local Mauritian dishes) and so is the staff! A range of activities is available from hikes to free boat shuttles to the nearby island. The booklet provided was very informative (with recommendations for restaurants, attractions, etc.) - we wished we had that info at the beginning of our Mauritius trip. Unfortunately my partner had a medical emergency on our last day. The staff and Julien, the hotel owner, organised everything necessary and rushed him to the hospital in his vehicle. Having a health issue in a foreign country was stressful, but they supported us so much and made everything work. We're now back home in good health. We hope to be able to come back some time soon!

Blue Ocean Suites and apartments is a set of 6 suites and apartments situated right on the beach of Trou d’Eau Douce. Staff were very warm and welcoming!

The staff was very friendly, and the house was really clean. The staff took care of us carefully so that we would not be uncomfortable, and although it was a short stay, he did his best. Bastante espaço. Vikram is a good host who gives you good attention and is easy available when you need him. We liked the amenities he left in the fridge when we arrived. Even oil, sugar and salt available.
