Bananoz Surfhouse is situated on the seafront in El Tránsito, a few steps from El Transito Beach. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. Friendly, family orientated atmosphere. I loved the Guesthouse type vibes. Super chilled out. Plenty of hammocks and places to eat/chill/whatever. Phenomenal value for money. Had everything you needed re: amenities. Kitchen was great. Carmilo the owner was available on weekends and cooked us crepes for breakfast with a cup of coffee and a dart. He had great local knowledge and was always happy to help out. .

Hotel Al Sole features free bikes, garden, a bar and shared lounge in León. Great location, the rooms were clean, confortable and well decorated. The staff was extremely nice and arranging. The pool was just a blessing given the heat. Breakfast here is one of the best we had during our stay in Nicaragua.

Habitación en casa Familiar is located in León and offers a terrace. This homestay features a garden and free private parking. Here, you come as a guest and feel like family! The house is huge, the neighborhood is very nice, kids out and playing until late, and it is a 20 minute walk to the main square of Leon. (There's also a c$6 bus that stops outside the front door, and taxis are about c$50). You get a look into parts of the town that are not the center. Breakfast was excellent and varied, and the Wi-Fi clocked in at 50Mbps so easily fast enough for Zoom calls and the like. If you have an oversized vehicle, there is a secured lot around the corner (in front of the basketball court) that charges c$30/day. The on-site garage will handle regular vehicles.

The Wabi Sabi is a recently renovated guest house in León, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, garden and bar. We did a five night stay, lovely place just a few streets from the city centre. Polite and easy going staff who made sure the place always looked it’s’ best throughout the entire day. The highlight of the stay must’ve been the kitchen, super well equipped, sturdy pans and pots and free access to drinking water and ice. We would definitely return to The Wabi Sabi in the future.

Located in Nagarote in the Leon Region region, Camping Ojo de Agua has a garden. It is set 1.8 km from El Transito Beach and offers a shared kitchen. The campground features family rooms. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, quiet and peaceful community feeling. Intact mosquito nets for each guest were a big plus. Great stay overall!

Boasting inner courtyard views, Nimbu Beachhouse offers accommodation with a garden, around a few steps from El Transito Beach. Nibu is a slice of paradise. It has stunning views and was so cute. loved Gretal! She’s amazing, so sweet, so kind, and so caring. She is a fantastic cook as well. All the food was delicious. She also introduced me to her family and gave me a few rides. One was to get my bus and another to Nimbu after the sun had set. I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with her as well. 10/10

Located just a few steps from El Transito Beach, Casa Todo Bueno features accommodation in El Tránsito with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. The house is gorgeous, and John and Janelle go out of their way to provide a comfortable and beautiful space. Very close to the beach. The rooms (there's only 2) are spacious, comfortable, have great private bathrooms, and you'll want to pay for the AC. There's a kitchen with pots, pans, implements, but you'll have to bring your own food. There's a pulpería just across the street, good for snacks & basics, but better stores are about a 20 min walk away. The road is a much shadier and cooler route to town than the beach, and definitely easier if you have kids. Overall, staying here was a wonderful experience, and we'll return in the future. I lived in El Tránsito in the 70s and early 80s, a couple of houses down from Casa Todo Bueno. Staying here brought back wonderful memories, and we hosted my local Nicaraguan family here one of the days we stayed. They loved it, and we made some great new memories. Plan on staying here for more than a night. The peaceful environment really needs a few days to be appreciated. The upstairs deck and lounge/kitchen area are stunning. Definitely visit the pool at the general's house.

Hostal San Antonio features a garden and a shared lounge in León. This bed and breakfast features free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Really lovely and helpful staff! Very spacious bathroom and we loved the little terrace.

Situated in León in the Leon Region region, El Callejon Guest House has a patio. This homestay provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. Had a wonderfully comfortable stay at this centrally located house, surprisingly quiet. Despite our short stay, daily cleaning and thoughtful touches like changing sheets and providing extra toilet paper made it special. The owners, despite the language barrier, were the real stars—sweet and kind. Grateful for this find, highly recommended

A recently renovated guest house located in León, Hostal Leyendas features a garden. Good location, little traffic street . Short walk to the center of the city. Great morning coffee and good breakfasts !
