I must highly recommend Moon Light Camp for everyone who is looking for the real desert experience in Oman! The tent is beyond my imagination. It was very clean, tidy, especially the bed is very cozy! We booked the dinner and breakfast as well. Trust me those are super valuable! There's a solar USB charger inside the tend so don't worry about the power. We enjoyed the sunset, sunrise. Don't miss the night starry sky! That will be one of the most memorable experience in your life!

Situated in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Rashid Desert Private Camp has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. This was one of the highlights of our holiday in Oman. I highly recommend staying with Rashid. His hospitality was fantastic, great sense of humour, very genuine and kind. Food was excellent and plentiful. Rashid is very happy to work with you to arrange activities as well. We really enjoyed the dune bashing sunset tour. Book with confidence!

Situated in Bidiyah, SandGlass Camp features accommodation with seating area. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. This is a great camp especially if you want a quiet location and small camp with few guests so you feel you are really in the dessert. Best of all was for sure the owner Said. He is a fantastic man, so kind, funn and helpfull. We had great conversations and funn with him. Can highly recommend staying in his camp.

Nomadic Desert Camp is set in Al Wāşil. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Towels and bed linen are featured in the luxury tent. Unlike the other camps in the area, Nomadic desert camp is really surrounded by sand dunes. The camp is very authentic. The facilities are all clean and tidy.

Sultan Private Desert Camp is situated in Bidiyah. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Lovely, peaceful location way from the other camps, small setting and lovely people. We really enjoyed the ride there and the visits to the animals, the tour through the desert in the morning and the kids loved the short camel ride. Stars, sand and serenity. Lovely guide.

Located in Shāhiq in the Al Sharqiyah region, Crescent Desert Private Camp provides accommodation with free private parking. This luxury tent offers a terrace. Food was delicious and fresh BBQ, place is soo quiet and calm. Dune bashing with sunset was amazing and crazy we advise for every one.

Located 50 km from Wadi Bin Khalid, SAFARI-Glamping offers accommodation in Bidiyah-20 kms inside the desert from the village Al Hawaiyah. The camp is great. There are only two tents and you can rent the whole thing for yourself. We really got the experience of being out in the desert alone. The facilities are excellent with a good bathroom and shower and nice bed (no A/C). The tents are in the traditional style as is the dining tent. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth waking up for sunset.

Situated in Shāhiq, Alsarmadi Desert Camp features accommodation with seating area. Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The Alsarmadi Desert Camp is an amazing experience. Our hosts picked us up in the nearby township of Bidiya, and it was only a short 30min drive out to the camp. You are surrounded by sand dunes, but high up enough to enjoy a beautiful sunset/sunrise. The hosts are very welcoming and can organise several activities during your stay in the desert. Some incur extra costs, like camel rides & lunch at a Bedouin camp. Or you can simply enjoy exploring the dunes, like we did. The tents are clean & comfortable, it was the best sleep of our whole trip! And as female travellers we felt safe the whole time. Breakfast & dinner were also delicious. Thank you to Said & his son Alfarooq for a wonderful experience in the desert!
