The owner Johnny is very contactable, offers great local advice, does tours of the island (which we did and enjoyed) and he’s just a really nice guy. Would deffo stay here again.

Although it was quite rainy when we were in Raiatea, the place has an amazing view, the bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is big and clean! The suggestions for dinner were also great! However, let me thank Sandrine and Laurent, the hosts, they are exceptional! Our luggages did not arrive with us but only 3 days later (thank you AirFrance...) and although we did some shopping, we did not want to produce waste by buying additional stuff we do not really need as we had everything in our luggage. Thus, Sandrine gave us literally everything: t-shirts, pants, masks, fins, sea-shoes, everything! We really appreciated this help as we had the impression we were at friends' place and this was definitely a relief after a 27-hour flight and no luggage! Thank you a lot for your great help, we will always remember you!

This peaceful retreat boasts a large outdoor swimming pool with stunning sea views. Villa U'upa is situated just 10 minutes' from the heart of Uturoa and the ferry terminal. Guests enjoy free WiFi. The hosts are extremely nice, some of the best we’ve had yet. Christine helped us communicating with car rental companies and our tour guides, as we couldn’t make calls in French Polynesia. She had a list of all rental car companies on island and called every single one of them for us, as we couldn’t find a car or scooter available. So grateful! Thanks again, Christine. The rooms, pool, house, garden and surroundings look even better in reality than in the photos! Breakfast was yummy and the place was very clean and quiet! Only nature sounds around, especially that of u’upa, the yellow-footed green pigeon, where the villa name comes from. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood, walking distance to downtown Uturoa.

Just 80 metres from the Lagoon access to Sea view, La maison Du Voyage offers a relaxed tropical haven with free snorkelling equipment. We loved everything about our experience and stay with Isabella and Edward. They are wonderful hosts and their property is clean and in a fabulous location. You will need a car to travel to them. You should hire a car anyway to see the entire island, its gorgeous. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests during our stay and the breakfast of bread and fresh fruit was delightful. We highly recommend staying at La Maison Du Voyage and look forward to going back!

Located in Opoa, Fare Juanita Piti provides accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. The property features garden views. My husband and I liked the friendliness of the owners. The time they took to explain to us where we have what. The houses are big enough and cute. Very nicely furnished and carefully laid out. By far the best stay in French Polynesia. We got more than we expected.

Located in Uturoa in the Raiatea region, Ohana RBNB studio "Havai " provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I found it very comfortable for a solo woman traveller. The hostess Marie & her husband were also very empathetic seeing I was alone and gave me pizza on my first night. They also bought dinner for me on my last night. Truly recommended & great Wi-Fi, very clean, air con, tv with utube Netflix etc. 100m to Yee Foo Magasin & super comfortable.

Ralph is a former pearl diver and it was a delight to see what Cathy made with so many black pearls.

Featuring a garden, a year-round outdoor pool and garden views, Fare Tapu is located in Uturoa. There is a private entrance at the homestay for the convenience of those who stay. We have had the warmest Polynesian welcome from Tapu and his lovely family. They were very attentive and made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed at any time. We also got very good recommendations for activities and restaurants. The accommodation is super clean, modern and with many details and there is a parking on the property. Very safe and beautiful place to stay. We are looking forward to come back one day! Mauruuru roa!

Located in Uturoa in the Raiatea region, Te Fare Manulani features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Our stay at Te Fare Manulani was wonderful. The setting is beautiful in a lush valley, surrounded by trees. The house was perfect for our family of 6 - it was impeccably clean, the kitchen was stocked with coffee etc, the beds were comfortable and the pool was an added bonus. I would highly recommend staying here while on Raiatea.

Situated in Uturoa in the Raiatea region, Catamaran Apetahi provides accommodation with access to an open-air bath. This boat features free private parking and luggage storage space. Steve and Julie were sooo nice. They helped me with everything I was struggling with. Julie is an amazing cook, make sure you book the dinners, too. You can see that she loves what she does.
