Denna 250 år gamla herrgård ligger nära Serra da Estrela och har historiska möbler och konstnärliga inredningsdetaljer. Alla rum är inredda med en påminnelse om den äldre livsstilen. We were not aware that Casa das Obras was a 250 year old manor house. It has been sympathetically renovated with beautiful rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. It has impressive reception areas, and multiple cosy rooms for relaxing. It was centrally heated and spotlessly clean. A magnificent buffet breakfast was included. For warmer weather it has a lovely garden with a swimming pool. The host was on site to greet us, and available throughout our stay for anything we required. We would not hesitate to stay again.

All the elements have been thought through to combine into a perfect, authentic experience - you can tell the property owners have put heart, mind and soul into this project. Will 100% be coming back.

Casa do Chefe, is gem of a location. Sandra and Pedro are incredible and truly made our stay here feel like home. The decor is fabulous and truly memorable on many levels. We will most definitely be back.

Excellent spacious flat, extremely well situated and with very nice view. Manager Rita was all time available and the staff was attentionate and mindful of their guests' comfort. Thourough cleaning, change of bed linen and towels, etc.

Everything here is superb. Our unit was on 2 floors - all spotless. Far more space than we needed. Wonderful gardens with a large pool. Parking right outside our apartment. The property is secure with gated access. Gorgeous views all round. A really lovely place. Highly recommend We ate at a super local restaurant called “Ponto de Encontro”. 3 courses for 2 people plus drinks and all for €37. A great stopover and only sorry it was just for one night
