We arrived by bike. The hosts made it easy for us to arrive after hours. Even a very early breakfast was no problem, they just made us sandwiches and left then in the fridge in the pantry. We could lock our bikes just outside the door of our room. Overall an excellent stay, we'd come again!

Lovely place and really got all us guests together. We have a shirt Karaoke and then a quiz night. We had breakfast there which was excellent. Lots of home made extras.

Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed borrowing the bikes to explore the area.

Chaty Maven Kustnära Stugor se nacházejí v lesích, pouhých 300 metrů od Baltského moře a asi 1 km od obce Kappelshamn v severním Gotlandu. Maven is a hidden, secret paradise. You really don't know you're there until you see your parking spot. All the cabins are off gravel paths, so they have helpful wagons to aid in getting your things to the cabins. Our cabin was very modern and comfortable, with a great kitchen, bathroom, living room and deck. The hosts Anne and Stefan are very welcoming, extremely generous with their time and rightly proud of their creation. There is no way to describe the setting, with walkways leading to all the different buildings open to guests. Anne led us on a tour of the grounds, while Stefan shared some construction tips and showed off one of his new cabins opening soon. This is the kind of place that makes you want to cancel the rest of your plans and stay put. We just happened to choose Kappelshamn as a stopping point on a bike journey, and we feel very lucky to have found Maven.
