Kilauea House is set in Volcano, 18 km from Kilauea, 45 km from Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo, as well as 49 km from University of Hawaii, Hilo. Perfectly located a short drive from the national park entrance. The hosts were lovely and gave us local tips (one of them is a ranger at the national park). The room was so carefully appointed and the breakfast was fantastic, with so much food and a great variety. The garden outside the room was lovely too.

Boasting a balcony with sea views, a private beach area and water sports facilities, Ma'ukele Lodge can be found in Pahoa, close to Kaimu Beach and 21 km from Lava Tree State Monument. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. The room is rustic, but a great way to experience Island life. This was an unexpectedly wonderful jewel. Breakfasts were fabulous.

Featuring sea views, Kona Magic Honu Room provides accommodation with patio, around less than 1 km from White Sands Beach Park. Great location and all the amenities of home. Loved having access to a kitchen and Mychelle was super welcoming and even did our laundry (which was much needed after a week on Oahu first). We had our own bathroom to use and parking was included. It was a great place to set up home base for our stay on the big island.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Coffee Garden is set in Captain Cook, 6.9 km from Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park and 7.4 km from Kealakekua Bay. The hosts were so nice and welcoming. I immediately felt very comfortable. The place is very relaxing, the view from the studio with huge glass doors was amazing out to the beautiful garden with many different colorful pretty flowers with the ocean on the horizon. I loved the very tasty fruits from the huge garden and sitting on the porch to enjoy the tranquil surroundings. I can very much recommend this place. Especially if you want to unwind.

Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat is a chalet situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea and 9.6 km from Volcano National Park's entrance. We loved everything about the accomodation. The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. Iao Valley Inn features river views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Wailuku, 3.2 km from Iao Valley State Park. This place is simply amazing! It’s in the Iao Valley, surronded by nature. Stratetic position to reach all the spots in the island. Great hospitality, fresh fruit every morning, everithing was perfect!

Located in Kihei and only 70 metres from Mai Poina Beach, Nona Lani Cottages provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Nice location. Only 1 min walking distance to beach by crossing the road in front of the cottage.

The B&B is in a fantastic location, a very quick walk into town, but with the ocean literally on your doorstep. Our beautiful room backed right on the ocean and it was wonderful going to sleep with the sounds of waves. Every morning the cooked breakfast was delicious, and we really appreciated the useful shelves in the B&B filled with snacks, useful pamphlets, bug spray and sunscreen. Our hosts were very friendly and gave fantastic recommendations on things to see and do during our stay in Hilo. We would highly recommend a stay here!

Located within 1.7 km of Rainbow Falls and 3.8 km of Lyman Museum & Mission House in Hilo, Old Hawaiian Bed and Breakfast provides accommodation with seating area. Great, quiet location. Lory was absolutely fantastic in accommodating us, and the lovely charm of the place and its gardens are great assets.
