Situato a Bragança, a 7 km dal Castello di Braganca, l'O Abel, Hotel rural offre sistemazioni con giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito e una terrazza. L'hotel dispone di camere familiari. Personal welcome from the owner! He is a real host and immediately helped us to feel welcome in what he called 'paradise'. Nice room with a HUGE bathroom. Good breakfast and a very good restaurant which was packed when we were there. Personal attention as well and more than a fair price for an excellent meal. Free and easy parking and worth to stop here and stay for at least 1 night. Close to Branganca and direct on the N218 which is very scenic road to drive along... I can confirm you will feel in paradise!!

This hotel is a hidden gem. Only a block from the famous wine bars an old building has been remarkably restored to produce a hotel which is really almost like a member of Small Luxury Hotels. The value for money is outstanding and we come back and back. Breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. Arquitects should book to admire the impeccable quality of the restoration. Staff is very, very friendly and helpful.

Situato a Chaves, a soli 1,5 km dalla città e a meno di 5 minuti di auto dalle terme di Caldas de Chaves, l'Hotel Albergaria Borges, 3 stelle, offre moderne sistemazioni e un ristorante in loco. Lo staff (al proprietario ed ai ragazzi abbiamo lasciato un biglietto di ringraziamento, tanto sono stati carini), il parcheggio gratuito, le cene.

Affacciata sulla pittoresca valle del fiume Douro e ospitata all'interno di una storica residenza di campagna, tra giardini e vigneti, la Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food vanta una... Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of lake, Belas Vistas Hotel is set in Montalegre, 24 km from Carvalhelhos Thermal Spa. Arrived super early but room was ready so let me check in. Off road parking within the grounds for motorbike and able to park at rear out of sight although it’s a quiet place, beautiful views, good breakfast and room was very spacious clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Nearest super market was around 11km away. Petrol station just up the road and there’s a restaurant around 1.5k or so up the road that does lunch and evening meals.
