The property was up the coast from Bahía Solano on Mecana Beach. A remote and beautiful part of the Pacific Coast. I didn't like the hotel I had originally booked so I quickly packed up and made this reservation last minute. I didn't know I'd have to take a boat from Bahía Solano (Mutis) to get there (I didn't read closely enough) but the owner Laura quickly arranged to have us picked up at the dock and we were sitting eating fresh fish and drinking cold beer after a short (20 minute) boat ride. This place was magical, both because of the setting but also largely due to Laura's energy and passion for the property. She is a warm, caring and accepting person and I feel lucky that we got to meet her and stay at her ecohotel. The food was delicious, fresh fish every day and everything was made in house. The place was perfect and just two minutes walk through the trees to the spectacular and peaceful beach. If you're the kind of traveller who needs air conditioning, sterilized rooms or you are high maintenance in any way I would say that this property is probably not for you. If you're like me and love to be close to nature and want to unplug and enjoy then don't hesitate to book here. I would go back tomorrow if I could!

Es un lugar muy agradable, rodeado de vegetación, un hermoso jardín y a pasos de la playa y un afluente de río. La ubicación es excelente, te permite estar en un punto centro para visitar los otros lugares de la zona. Es tranquilo e ideal para el descanso. Por su parte, Claudia y Francisco son unas personas maravillosas que te acompañan con una excelente compañía durante tu estancia, acogiendo cómo en casa.

Irana Pacific Hotel is situated in the perfect location, it’s a beautiful hotel and all the cabanas are directly in front of the beach, there are many adventure and cultural activities that hotel staff expertly and professionally arrange for guests. Irana Pacific Hotel has minimal carbon footprint, all power is generated through solar panels and batteries, yet has amazing WiFi. It’s super easy to get to the hotel, with flights to Nuquí from Medellin and Bogota, very affordable. The best part of Irana Pacific Hotel is the staff, special thanks to Marcela, Eber, and Diana, who made our stay so fun and memorable!

El Retoño del Negro Gozón se encuentra en Nuquí y ofrece acceso a unjardín. The host were so incredibly friendly and nice. They greeted me with a coconut with a flower in it when I arrived and prepared coconuts for me often when I came back from a day. The room was right in front of the beach so I could go to sleep listening to the waves crash and watch the sunset from the hammock on my front porch. I was there during the low tourist season so it was very peaceful and quiet and this place is located between the two towns (about a 15 min walk to each town) so it was maybe the most peaceful place I’ve ever been. They also keep the grounds very clean, are very helpful with any questions, and Pengo is an excellent chef!

El Vijo Surf tiene vistas al mar y se encuentra en Nuquí. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de conserjería, bar, jardín y terraza. Se ofrece wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. This is a trip that is one of those you never forget. Staying at this hotel was surreal, I mean, you are in the middle of the jungle where you hear the sounds of nature like never before. Staff was awesome, we were very well taken care and the food was insanely delicious! Rooms were nice and clean!

Ecolodge Mar y Rio se encuentra en Nuquí y ofrece wifi gratis, jardín, terraza y restaurante. Hay una zona de estar y de comedor en todas las unidades. The accommodation is located in a quiet bay which can be reached from nuqui in only 45 minutes by speedboat. During our stay, the whole family was there. They cooked for us every evening. It is also recommended as there are no restaurants in the area. Ideal location for trips to jovi and thermales. The rooms are functionally furnished and correspond to the standard in choco. Electricity was only available in the morning and evening. But this is the case with all hotels in choco. In general, it is very recommendable for relaxing and long walks on the beach.

Finca El Regalo está en Capurganá y ofrece vistas al mar, bicicletas gratis, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante. El lodge ofrece wifi y parking privado, ambos gratis. Gabriella the owner was super nice and welcoming and very helpful , the property is located a bit out of town but is very beautiful .

Este lodge ecológico se encuentra frente al mar y está rodeado de selva tropical en el extremo de Cabo Corrientes, en la costa del Pacífico de Colombia. Absolutely breathtaking surroundings The staff are so knowledgable, friendly and warm and couldn’t do enough to make our stay magical. The sound of the sea lulls you to sleep at night The food is absolutely amazing Whales are leaping out of the water right in front of your room So many incredible birds endemic to the area

El El Almejal está situado en una reserva natural, a 50 metros de la playa El Almejal y a 1 km del centro de El Valle. The good service, specially Luisa which took care of finding tours when the conditions were not ideal. Nice shelters. Everything was very clean. The jungle just a few meters with a long walk behind the hotel. Many animals to be seen from the hotel, lizards, squirrel, colibri... Avialable coffee and water. Night fire.
